Eh. I kind of hate questions like this because, if you were really hoping for Poads before Christmas and express an opinion that they get released before, you’re the bad guy who wants to work Susie to death.
That said, I do not want Susie to overwork herself, but I was certainly thinking these would be out for Christmas and be available for gifting at Christmastime.
In the end, it’s Windstone’s decision. I think in the future if there’s a decision like this to be made, it might be easier on some of our consciences if the decision was made internally and just announced as fact (“Sorry guys, it turns out that the Poads are not going to be ready until after Christmas!” would be just fine).
I may be reading into it too much, but I am sensitive to ethical dilemmas (as minute as this one may be), and I do not like feeling like my opinion will be inadvertently causing someone else strife. :/
Right? I had no intentions on buying from this GB batch, but just as someone seeing this unfold, I kind of felt bad for those who may have hoped to gift one… I personally was waiting for the Hippocampus for a gift but ran out of time, with no promise they were coming before Christmas and no status updates, I ordered a completely different gift, to be sure my ‘backup’ gift idea would get here in time…
Ohh, yeah I need to make sure my address is current.. don’t need anything going to my ex’s house, lol! Even though I’m *mostly* certain I kept the cards coming here (I trust my families post office way more than I trusted my old one, hah)
What are the odds of getting Hippocampus before Christmas? I would really love to get a blank for someone as a gift, but would like to know if I should be looking for something else, no pressure meant from this post, just wondering what course of action to take, lol
This is Melody ( logged in as Drupaldragon again) We’ve got about 40 or so hippocamps cast and ready , and just got the pads, so they will be available pretty soon. Just need to stamp the pads and get boxes made.

Where do go get chocolate cinnamon bears? Sounds cool! Also I shipped my box last week!
I spotted them in the lil local grocery store here, next time I’m in there I will pay a closer attention to brand (it was a buy by the lbs, so no box or anything, just a bag I scooped them into, lol) but I did see them on Amazon, for roughly the same price I paid for them ($6.99 per lbs) sort of pricey but oh goodness they were tasty! haha, I’m hoping once I have the brand name of the ones I *know* I like, maybe I can order straight from their website 🙂 If that’s the case, depending on how much they are there, I may order some in bulk for Christmas gifts, lol…
So I’m totally left fielding in this thread, haha… If I knew about what I found yesterday, I’d jumped into this swap in a heartbeat! SO! If anyone gets the chance to buy some chocolate covered cinnamon bears (and if you like cinnamon bears and chocolate! Haha) buy them! Omg, I bought a small amount and my mom, my brothers girlfriend and I were in candy heaven! As soon as I go near that store again, I’m buying a full pound, at least haha! They have shot themselves to the top of my holiday candy must have list! Haha
Doot de doot de doo. *whistles and twiddles her thumbs* Everybody else is all excited for grab bags, meanwhile I’m just sitting here, waiting for new PYOs. 😀
(I’d say “waiting patiently” but I think this post is a clue that I’m pretty impatient! Though I suppose I will live if they take a while, I gather the folks at the factory have more than enough to keep them busy most days.)
Totally the same thought here, haha… I don’t collect poads, so even though I’ll love seeing the poads (they always turn out so pretty!) I keep checking up to see if there are any hippocampus updates, haha
Yeah, sadly I’ve about 90% given up on hoping I can afford GB’s anymore.. so I’ll be sitting back and watching these until a pebble batch, but even those are climbing in price, so I minorly hope I can afford them, but not holding my breath…
I’m looking forward to the Hippocampus, and eager to see what production pieces come out…
Speaking of production, anything interesting going on in that direction?The indoor garden dragon is coming along, I am working on horns for various things, and doing the final finish details on the Oriental PYO.
Ohh 🙂 Indoor garden dragon sounds nice… maybe you should take a break from gb’s to give you time to enjoy other things like sculpting, I can only imagine the toll of painting so much can take, would hate to see you hit burn out because of demands for gb’s.. but that’s my opinion, I know I would go insane painting so much, I’ve admired your stamina for these things, lol

Looking at the carts of stuff we have, I see we don’t have many baby unicorns right now. We do have LOTS and LOTS of poads, maybe enough young unicorns for a batch of 100 or so… lots of pebble things of various species, and a whole cart crammed full of … hmm, maybe these will work… haven’t done a grab bag edition of these things yet…Talk about a cliffhanger…. :p

I’m gonna try a few of these, but they may be too complicated to do a gb batch of. Gb things need to be things that I can paint fairly easily, accommodate lots of different paint schemes, and don’t give me fits of despair.
Don’t blame you! But at the worst, you end up with some Ebay pieces and the knowledge that it doesn’t work for GB’s, lol 🙂 I’m always happy to see what you come up with, even if it isn’t something I can afford or something I collect
