Ooh; I’d never heard of these before, but I’m intrigued. I would love to participate! Just 1 for now, if I may?
Very cool! Love the variety of colors.
My story is pretty similar to a lot of others! π I had long loved dragons, and when on summer vacation, there was this awesome, huge store near the beach that had a lot of neat things, Windstones among them! I can’t even remember which was my very first now, to be honest! Over the course of a few summers I ended up with the bulk of my collection; smaller pieces. (Perhaps the peacock young dragon was the very first? Hmm… I’ll have to see if I can try to dig up a journal entry or something!)
Eventually, the store was going out of business. I couldn’t resist the Rainbow Male at that point, especially since I’d never seen them for sale anywhere else (and hadn’t really poked around online for them) so I snapped him up! π
Oh, wow. That’s horrible; I’m so sorry to hear! It sounds like he was a great person, and it’s such a shame to lose one of those.
Quite a range of ages on here! π Figured I’d chime in; I’m 27.
Ooh, how fun! Super glad I joined the forum recently. My camera tends to go everywhere with me anyway, and this is more inspiration to actually remember to use it!
Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
I didn’t get one, as I’ll admit that Poads aren’t really my thing (and I’m too poor anyway for now!) but I’m really loving seeing all of the lovely colorations and designs! I can practically feel the excitement about getting these!
Can’t wait to see more photos πHello! I’m also pretty new here, but have been collecting off and on for a few years. I discovered Windstones in much the same manner as you π
Thanks, Stormbringer! π It really does feel very friendly here. But yes, doesn’t seem like there are a lot of guys!
I’ve got no griffins… yet. Hopefully I’ll snag some at some point!
Oooh, delicious! Growing up nearish NYC, pizza was a big part of life (and still is, hah!) I need to try my hand at making more of my own…
These are great! I particularly like those sheep. Hah! Might be inspired to make some with the empty boxes after my upcoming move! π
Thanks, Twindragonsmum π I did post up my little collection over in the Windstone section. I’ll admit, seeing everyone’s pretty collections really makes me wish I could just jump back in all the way, but I must be patient! π
Hello, everyone! I’m new to the forum. I figured I would share my little collection! I’m a bit too broke to add to it just yet, but I’m sure that will change eventually π
I haven’t actually managed to snag any new ones in years, so my pieces are all a bit older.
Firstly, my baby pegasus!
Followed by my black bat-winged flapcat…
…who, of course, hangs out with my Siamese bird-winged flapcat.
Amd then it’s onto the dragons, from smallest on up, starting with the hatchling in Emerald.
He’s got a slightly bigger emerald fledgling brother.
Next is the young dragon in Peacock…
And finally, ruling over the group, my male in Rainbow.
As you can tell, I rather like to play with the macro settings on my camera. π Though, erm… it seems I need to dust!
Thanks, dragonlove!
Amy Jane, it’s definitely my favorite Miyazaki film! It just makes me feel all happy π
And yes, I’m hoping my collection will grow! It’s just not a good time financial to do so… but I can still sit and drool π
Thanks Branzyboo! And lol… I also collect model horses, and have… uhm… hundreds of those, and my poor boyfriend puts up with all of it. Patient man! hah π
