I have to vent. The past two months I’ve been fighting an ear infection in both ears. I’ve been through multiple rounds of anitbiotics, steroids, and boxes of Claritin. Nothing is working. I’ve never had an ear infection before so this is quite frustrating and painful. The fluid in my ears causes constant popping noises, pressure, ringing noises, and pain. Of course I have to be careful about what meds I take because half the time I get some kind of weird side effect. The last thing I need is to wind up with some horrible and/or permanent problem caused by meds. Oh, and did I mention I lost my health insurance because I no longer have a job so a simple visit to the doctor plus the pills cost so much I had to sell all my Windstones to pay the bills and I’m still not cured. Even if I had health insurance I live in one of those states with really high premiums and deductibles. Plus, it looks like I’ll be going back to the doctor yet again. This will be the third doctor I’ve had to see and the fourth visit. Strangely enough, the docs said a quite a few people in my area are suffering with the same problem. They say it’s caused by severe allergies and they’re really really bad this year (I live in the south). Even my poor old dog has the same thing. She’s always had bad allergies. I’m typically not an allergy sufferer but I guess things change as you age.
Anyway, the last option for my ears is a minor sugery I can’t afford to put temporary tubes in my ears so the fluid will drain out. So word to the wise, if you suddenly get a ringing and/or popping in your ears not caused by loud noises or elevation pressure, see your doc asap. That’s how my problem started. Well, if you don’t have your health not much else matters. I thought this year would be better then the last. It’s worse then last year but I’m trying to stay positive and keep my hopes up things will eventually get better and I could find a job with health insurance and restart my collection, for the third time, someday.

March 7, 2017 at 7:49 am in reply to: 2017 Annual Forum Chocolate (and fuzzies) Swap! Sign up Here! #1521375I’m sorry for being late to respond. I’m still rather new to the whole swap thing. I found my box from Dragoneer most wonderfull. It included small polished stones that I sat there Squeeing over for like 20 minutes before even opening the chocolates. Then the chocolates were absolutely delicious dark chocolate bars and goodies and caramel gooey things that were wonderous. Thank you so much Dragoneer_88!
You’re welcome! Glad you liked everything. 🙂 Sorry I forgot to put a note or card in there. I had one, but got in such a rush to send out because the weather was to be too warm. It was already halway to Oregon before I remembered I didn’t put one in the box! D’oh!
Mostly dragons (only western dragons though) in resin, pewter, studio pottery, one of a kind crafty dragon things, stained glass pieces, wooden pieces, porcelain or ceramic pieces, plushies, and dragon prints.
Other non-dragon things include, fossils, semi-precious stones, horse and cat pewter figurines, and a few resin and porcelain horses.
Sounds like a lot but I really don’t have that much.
Agreed to all of the above. Additionally, may I please add and respectfully ask just this once…members, if you’re not seriously committed to selling a piece, please don’t list it for sale or offer it (reference to wanted ads) to a prospective buyer only to change your mind. I can understand backing out of buying a piece but I cannot respect backing out of selling one. It’s fishing. It’s unbecoming and it gets the buyer’s hopes up for nothing. Please be respectful and considerate of others on both matters in this thread.
Happy Birthday!

I missed this thread! Sorry, Bodine! Happy belated birthday!
February 17, 2017 at 12:30 pm in reply to: 2017 Annual Forum Chocolate (and fuzzies) Swap! Sign up Here! #1520618Received my chocolate from Linda today! 😀 Ooo-weee, there must be 3 pounds of yummy chocolate here! I’m set for half a year or more. 😛
There’s three giant bars of chocolate, two bags of Lindt chocolates, and a cute penguin card. I see a cutey fuzzie snuck into the box and brought its Mardi Gras beads too. I’ll try to get a picture of my loot posted tomorrow, lol. Thanks, Linda!
I’m not into the whole Valentine’s Day thing. I’m always alone for one thing and I don’t believe in a designated “holiday” to show someone how much you care about them for another. That should be all year, maybe gifting flowers and such things at random and unexpected intervals to make a relationship more interesting. At least that’s my view. That said, I’m happy for those who choose to celebrate on this day and I mean to pass no judgment on anyone. So, happy VD!
Also, I think there’s a few countries, can’t remember which, that celebrate being single on this day if you don’t have someone special in your life.
February 13, 2017 at 7:35 am in reply to: 2017 Annual Forum Chocolate (and fuzzies) Swap! Sign up Here! #1520372Shipped mine today. I had to rush to gather some sweet treats. There’s only a two day window this week to send out the goodies before the weather turned unfriendly to perishables. It’s been unusually warm for February here and it will stay that way for the next two weeks!
Oh my! I like this dragon gargoyle much more than the one in the store. Love that wingspread and the appearance of a fierce, protective snarl against evil spirits.
Completely simplified my wishlist to something more realistic…maybe.
