You can dissect the context of that post by Melody in a few different ways depending on how you read it.

I wouldn’t imagine Melody was tea staining the master… To me it reads as she tea stained the gypsum casting that was MADE FROM the final master (not physically pictured) to see the finer details on the gypsum so she could then hone the master, if needed, by using the gypsum casting as a reference to ensure all was as she wanted it before production began. It still doesn’t technically say the master is made of gypsum as well…

I’m not sure if the mold making process is something Windstone keeps tight lipped as they surely have their own unique procedure and are protecting the finer details of that process, but it doesn’t feel as if Windstone is going to clarify the debate as to what the master is actually made out of in this thread.

02. Large Bird Winged Flap Cat – Siamese – remove old wing and ear repair and fix it again

Assuming all my pets were safe first and I was able to save a Winstone I would undoubtedly grab the Flame Point Tabby Male Dragon by Jennifer Miller

However I know me, and I’d also be tucking my Spring Plum Sun Dragon and the Moon Dragon I painted at the factory that are on the same shelf as the Male Dragon and tucking them under my arms too! Maye a few choice grab bags in my pockets and cleavage too! LOL!

Melody’s reply – “I don’t know. When I finish the story, whenever that is! -and then probably add half a year to get it edited and arranged for printing, and then the Kickstarter .. oh man, so much work yet to do!
I do have some sculptures for the Kickstarter.”

In answer to a question about the new sculptures – “more new poads. And maybe other things.”

Here we are two weeks later… Faye is still hanging on but she is in horrible shape. The wound is slowly healing but it still seems infected and she still won’t eat…

Flash back to Nirvanacat sending me some medicine she had leftover from one of her cats with a similar issue… they day it arrived in the mail is the day I was already heading to the vet and I had received a different script for her infection, so I didn’t end up using it. I used the script the vet had prescribed for a week and not much changed. She had a drain put in and we took a culture of the bacteria and changed her medication to something stronger… another week and still she is declining, but Wednesday we got the results back from the culture… it’s not cancer he tells me… how is she doing? I tell him no change… He says well he’s not surprised. Those meds I’ve been using aren’t going to work. She has a type of bacteria that requires a very specific medication for her… guess what it is… THE SAME THING CAT SENT ME TWO WEEKS AGO! So for two weeks she has been on completely ineffective meds while I had ones Cat sent me that she needed but I went by the vets prescribed meds thinking that was me being smart… I feel sick.

We stared the new meds right away, I ran and picked them up before they closed for Thanksgiving. She just had her 3rd dose this morning and we’re just hoping it’s not too late…

Pegasi nooooooo… I’m so sorry. That’s awful. I had the same thing happen last Christmas with my tuxedo as well, Haru. We never did figure out what was wrong with her. Same symptoms, not eating, high fever, lethargic, barely able to walk, very wobbly… Tons of tests, negative for everything but her lymphocyte count was very high, suggesting lymphoma but they said I’d have to take her to a specialist to find out. I thought for sure she was going to pass and we were planning to take her after the holiday if she didn’t improve to end her suffering, but there was a Christmas miracle and she steadily got better with 2 scripts of Amoxie Drop. (treated her for an unknown infection basically to reduce the fever) It was so mysterious. We have no idea what brought it on and probably never will. She’s still with us now, but I’m always nervous it will come back. I’m so sorry your story didn’t have a happy ending. My worst nightmare is when my pets have health issues. I swear it’s like having a sick child that just can’t tell you what’s wrong and you never know when you’re making the right decision or not. I hate it so much. Big hugs for you and you dearly departed furbaby <3 Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.

Thank you everyone for the kind words… it’s been a tough month, but I’m glad I have a couple real friends still floating around here <3

I also just got back from spending $880 at the vet to get a drain put in because my cat Faye has an abscess on her hind leg that burst. I never even knew it was there until it was too late. The vet said it’s so large that there is a possibility of her age and how good she can fight off the infection the wound could go necrotic and she could lose the leg. It’s not super likely, but of course me being as ultra paranoid as I am, the thought has put me in panic mode and I’m mentally preparing to have to put her to sleep if this doesn’t heal. I’ll know more in a week when I go back to get the drain removed.

November is shaping up to be as awesome as October. I just want 2024 to get here.
