Ahh!! You got pink numbat-face! I don’t even really like pink and I thought that one was neat. 🙂
Now if only mine would get here. *anxiously looks out window for postman*
I agree with the other green lovers. I love the emp sculpt and the green, but the red and blue throws it off for me.
Now, if it were an emp done in the colors of the serpentine curlie, then I’d be bidding to win.
January 28, 2012 at 6:17 pm in reply to: January Grab Bag Baby Unicorn – Post them as you get them! #871536Customs makes no sense to me. I got 2 normal youngs from the first batch, so the parcel was valued at $220, and didn’t get charged. Then I got one fantasy young, $130, didn’t get charged. Then I got another fantasy young from the second batch, again $130, and got charged $25 dollars. All 3 parcels were from windstone, so the forms would have been filled out the same. I think they just choose at random, honestly.
Yeah, I think they flip a coin or something. 😛 I know that technically the customs fee should be 13% of the $CAD value + $8.50 for all non-gift packages valued at $20 or more (for Ontario), but that’s IF they decide to levy the fee. If think they can’t be bothered half the time -not that I mind! 🙂
My last package from Windstone got to my doorstep in a week, so here’s hoping that my GB uni baby comes just as quick.
I LOLed hard at “Grab Bag Baby Apocalypse”. But Fuzzy Fridays sounds fun –and adorable. 🙂
I almost missed this! My guess is also the day of my birthday, which is this month, so hopefully it’s my lucky day in more ways than one! 🙂
January 28, 2012 at 3:13 pm in reply to: January Grab Bag Baby Unicorn – Post them as you get them! #871498Mine didn’t ship yet either, no big deal. I had it sent 1st class instead of priority…not sure why, but I kind of like having to wait longer. The anxious wait makes opening it even more exciting. I’m a very unenthusiastic person, but when I got my youngs I was jumping up and down screaming, before I had even opened them! Plus it gives me something to look forward to. 😀
You know what, from my experience First Class is often faster because Priority sometimes gets held up at Customs.
My last Priority shipment took over 3 weeks and my last Fist Class shipment took just 8 days.
I’ve found the only real difference between 1st Class and Priority to be the tracking number. I had 2 dragons shipped to me at the same time from a Texas forum member, one by Priority and the other by 1st Class (they wouldn’t play nice in one big box :P), and they arrived together.
I’m betting my baby uni will arrive on Feb. 12, give or take a couple days.

That had my heart absolutely pounding. Who needs cardio when you have the excitement of grab bag unicorns! 😛
Add my name to the SAVE HOTDOG!!! petition. He’s so pretty, he just can’t go camping!
You are right, fatalbeauty, I forgot that part. By selecting the money order option, it avoids the person ordering having to make an immediate payment. I don’t think the people watching for one or more people would want to have to pay for all of those unicorns themselves!
Valentina and Tidal are SUPER GORGEOUS, Hannah!
The matte finish on Valentina’s fur gives her a lovely soft look and Tidal’s wings are just amazing. Breathtaking work, truly.
In the order form, there are separate sections for billing address and shipping address. The helper puts the address of the person they are purchasing for as the shipping address, and adds a note in the comments section for Windstone to send a Paypal invoice to the recipient (or something like that for people who pay with money orders).
In other words, you need to tell your helper your shipping address and paypal address in advance, and they do the rest. Just be sure to pay the email invoice when it arrives!
I wholehearted support this squeak! I don’t have any red dragons from Windstone (missed ruby and red fire), and I love spooky/sinister looking dragons, so Hades dragons as LP would be awesome.
Hey Wampus, could you imagine a Hades emperor? *drools*
I don’t think it’s necessary to split them into “normal” crazy and super crazy. They are all pretty wild fantasy paint jobs. And I’m sure there are plenty of us, e.g. me, who like both.
I expect with fantasy colors like the ones we saw in the Livestream, people should have no trouble trading ones they aren’t in love with for unis they like better. There don’t seem to be ANY “boring” ones. 🙂
I thought the question was pretty clear cut when I asked it. But then I didn’t realize at the time that there were a few sculpts on the master list who’s age weren’t clear. All the pieces on my list at the time were all clearly baby, young, or adult. I was debating between age or species and felt age had the potential to eliminate more sculpts. If only I knew that question would be source of so much confusion….
I certainly don’t blame you; it’s my fault for jumping the gun and sending my guess early. And your question was very clear, just people’s interpretation of the answer was varied.
Now I just have to hope that I don’t like the paint job on the prize coiled dragon and pretend I never wanted to win it. 😛
I think my difficultly figuring out what the second sculpt was is that I’ve always considered the only other possible sculpt an adult so I didn’t even think of it as a possibility(if the second one is the one I think it is). But last night I was looking at the height of the different pieces and it’s kinda short compared to mom and dad so I guess it might not be an adult like I previously thought.
^This.
I’m one of the people who sent their guesses in early because I thought the “other sculpt” was definitely an adult, so I eliminated it. Now that I’ve read all the other questions, clearly my guess is wrong. 🙁
I just wonder why they chose a question with such an ambiguous answer.
