October 3, 2020 at 7:46 pm in reply to: So, what’s next on the schedule? (Part 4 NEW for 2020) #1629319
Late to the party, but I LOVE that little PYO Rock Dragon! I’ll definitely be looking forward to him. 😀
AAAH! These are fantastic! And they’ve got a glower on that is just like our broody hens: couldn’t be more fitting for this time of year. I just went a little nuts in the Store. And I wish I’d paused to read this thread; I might have chosen the light orange eyes instead of the dark orange. But then again, odds are good I’ll be buying more sometime. 😛
The hard part will be choosing which birds to portrait ….
Great photos, mashubert! And thank you for posting them–they show his face really well, and he has a lovely face. 🙂
Trivia: Did you know Ashaeda’s red marking is actually a lupus butterfly malar marking?
:O My word, so it is. Well that just makes it twice as cool: once over for how well it works with the existing fur pattern, and twice over for being the best darned example ever of making lemonade out of lemons! It’s clearly gone over well with the rest of the group, too: a mascot! SO cool!
Oh my gracious, what a beauty! I absolutely love the eyes and the glorious patterning of the black and white fur with that red stripe. And my stars, an articulated jaw … well. This really is exceptionally handsome. The way you’ve got the brows casts just enough shadow to give the illusion of eyelids moving as the head tips back and forward. And you’ve left a little curve of fur under each eye too which gives them a smiling expression. This head is just bursting with character! SO well done!
My AWD fox arrived today, and he’s WONDERFUL! I don’t have a photo just yet–darn Photobucket–but I had to post and say how much I like this color scheme! The intricate dark linework on top of the fawn and black and white is extremely attractive; really a beautiful effect. And the black mask and white paws are simply adorable. This is an absolutely delightful design and it compliments the sculpt very well. So happy to have one of these! 😀
Yes, it’s a lot of fun! I’m on there too, in Wind Flight, username Barrdwing. There are a lot of layers to the game and it’s very entertaining. 🙂
Yeek. Yes, I saw that one last night. I agree–that’s a repaint. A shame; looks like a nice dragon under all that other stuff. 🙁
Hooray! Got one! 😀
Yes, just a bit. We saw him at Target, but there was a bigger selection at Toys ‘R’ Us.
Good on you! Have fun with it. 🙂
I loved the Red Fire color scheme too. If that could ever work out again, it would be fabulous.
September 4, 2014 at 2:04 am in reply to: Silver horned unicorns, need suggestions (unnoficial poll added) #918379I’d prefer a cool-colors scheme myself; white and light gray could do, but I’d really prefer light gray and dark gray. I’d like to second the vote for the steel-gray Akhal Teke–DROOL. Paint a unicorn like that, and I’d flip out.
If blue were used, perhaps there could be a Przwalksi-type pattern using blues, with black primitive barring on the legs and a black dorsal stripe? Sort of a marriage between Blue Morpho and wild-type duns.
September 1, 2014 at 5:16 am in reply to: 07/14/2014 Fantasy Grab Bag Unicorn Colt Picture Thread! #918239Thanks everyone 😀
Very pretty colt. What a relief that he finally arrived! I could see him going to Austria instead of Australia (maybe), but Chile??
Absolutely! When I saw the parcel with all these Chile Post stickers and stamps on it, I just questioned ‘Whhhhhhy!???’
Clara: “Where were you?”
The Doctor: “I got held up!” 😉 -
