I just needed to post this as a bit of a vent…
Why do there have to be so many cool art forms out there?! I finally had the opportunity to try needle felting and….I absolutely LOVE it!! It is so easy and so much fun! I have been lent a kit with lots of small amounts of colors and all the tools I need. I am in trouble 😀
I guess I should put away my bead kit before starting on this. I haven’t touched the stained glass in a few weeks. What am I supposed to do? 😀Those feathers are gorgeous. I have a similar “affliction” of feather joy! Turkey feathers are just wonderful. I appreciate that you use semiprecious beads and stones for embellishment. It makes the pieces that much nicer.
February 28, 2010 at 1:50 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #708808Fine by me. Like I said before, looking at things at midnight can fuzz the insight. Thanks ever so much…I should make sure to be more awake next time. 😛
February 27, 2010 at 4:23 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #708804Ok. So these aren’t direct copies or anything, however, the color and pattern of the color looks pretty familiar. Are these close enough for reporting or am I out on a limb with these?
I could just be tired and seeing things. If so, no worries. They have not been reported yet.
The suspense is killing me! LOL! Any of the previously mentioned things would be great. I so wanted a stained glass Poad since I am a stained glass artisan but they went way out of my budget. *sigh* That’s ok. I can be optimistic! 😀 Any Poad would be cute! Dragons, gryphons, cats, whatever really. 8)
*Sits back down and waits impatiently*

I cry. Even with the damage. OY what a collection! I wouldn’t have anywhere to put it anyway. LOL. Listed as rainbow but obviously peacock.
That is some awesome sculpting there. Maybe your dragon (the bust one) is a grazer 😉 . I agree about sellability, they would sell.
I’ve been watching this item since I found it on Ebay. I wish I had more money and more display space. That artist makes wonderful sculptures!
Well, I took photos of the damage. I just need to resize the pics to post. Soon to come…
They are all wonderful. You have a nice attention to detail. Maybe some day I’ll try these but I doubt I’ll ever get to it. I just have too many hobbies 😀
Lovely. How goes the progress?
By the way…
The two little dragon heads you have posted…what type of clay is that? I am dabbling minorly in clay sculpture (when I have time between work, school, stained glass and beads) and I got frustrated with the particular polymer clay I was using (sculpy III or such) because it wouldn’t hold the details I wanted and was too soft.I like to get ideas before I buy any more clay.
February 8, 2010 at 4:10 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #708775Reported! The second time I looked at this it was obvious that the candleholder dragons were modeled (badly) from Melody’s draggies.
The candle holders only. I don’t think the hatching dragon is anything worth bothering with.Gorgeous! *Sigh* Someday I will have somewhere to display some so I can get some more. Very nice work. I’ll probably watch them anyway.
I am enjoying watching the progression of this. I’ll bet it’s fun trying to decide which rows of scales to paint in the metallic colors. I can’t wait to see the next photos. It looks great so far!
