Maybe we could do a dragon thread that would inlude all of the dragon ideas, cause a dozen thread would not work so well, and we could do a griffin thread or could combi ne it with another.
and I do agree it should be “Poads TM Like” only on THIS thread, hence the ideas for the others. It’s fun! and then whatever mood you in, you can just look at that thread..like “hey I wish there was a thread with lots of dragon jokes and memes..” …and hey there it is!

my life has been hectic over the past month with my friend (laundry2011), and I preparing for a trip to my home state, that she is suddenly not coming on due her car pretty much saying it was pretty much done with her. (Her head gasket blew, the holes that hold her spark plugs stripped themselves, whitch the mechanic said was “pretty much impossible”and that he’d never seen such a thing”) leaving me to find a new ride to the airport 100 miles away, blah,blah…and so ya,blah blah blah….

This was once a really cool piece that ran across multiple old structures covering them with jungle and garden gnomes, and teenagers drew all over with black paint last winter. It was really king of upsetting..
so this was the only pic i could find from when it was still there that i had taken..

I also got a couple of pairs of eyes in the other day – they are glass eyes that were custom made for me, and I’m really excited about the prospect of what this company can do! They look a LOT like Windstone metallic eyes. I’m probably going to request them for more metallic eyes in various colors in the future 🙂
I asked for metallic teal (because I can never get enough of the metallic teal eyes!) and metallic emerald. The emerald turned out a bit more grassy green than I was expecting but I love them nonetheless! They have a lovely gold sheen to them. The teal eyes are a bit more blue than Windstone’s teal eyes – I imagine them about halfway between metallic teal and metallic medium blue. They’re very pretty, with little flecks of silver in them!
Anyway, if any PYO artists out there want to get together with me to make a larger custom eye order, I’d be happy to get together with you and we can brainstorm some more cool colors for them to try 😀 It takes them about 2 weeks to get them finished and sent out so keep that in mind, but PM me if anyone is interested in this!
Velociraptor Keeper’s owner still hasn’t chosen eyes for him, so he got to be the model! He’s so proud of himself.
I was curious what comapany it was you were ordering eyes from? i was looking for glass but have a hard time finding what is not resin/

The second Kirin I m doing, it will be the pastel combintion like the dragon so i have an exact comparison, kind of. It will be Forest Berry #2 and will have some slight color variations:

Though it is cool to see the different takes on one theme, it may make it limeting to some who prefer to work with different medias, (like the way i use ink and pastels, and im am sure there are others, like those who tea stain) and some schemes may be very difficult to work. Where some things look great in paint, they just don’t fit in other medias.
If one theme was chosen, I think a more broad theme would be better, rather than like “tuxedo” or like “cats” a broader theme that would be more easily adaptable could be like “oceans”, “forest and jungle”, or like “sun and moon” or something.
I mean not every one is a master artist like Melody or Patricia, and it would be not so fair to limit everyone to such a small subject. The experienced may not be able to go for all that detail when your colors are limiting, and the inexperienced, may not have as easy time as others, so subjects kind of have to be careful. I think that is why a broad subject is important, because it can be more easily adapted to different levels.
A wider theme allows for a much wider range of interpretation than something so specific, so we can see many more ideas, and spins on the same idea. This would make it more adaptable and I think, it would make it more even for everyone.
