I am so jealous! I LOVE the Piano Guys.

I see what you mean about the blue antiquing, that works really well!
Kitsunes just came back in stock, and I just ordered one! Guess what I’ll be painting next? 😀
I also have a blue jay griffin just started.
And a probable commission for another stone kittygriff, which I’m happy about, as I really love that color scheme. (And could use the funds too. So broke right now. I spent literally everything I’ve got on the kitsune and a foop.) I want to do the stone color on a few other sculpts as well, probably a winged wolf next.
I have a billion ideas, and not enough time to paint them all!
I just got my card. 😀 It is lovely.
I’m excited for the oriental PYO. Have there been any work in progress shots of it? I’m curious what it’s like!
Melody posted this in her Blog in February. There may be updated photos on Facebook or DA.
This is the Blog post with lots of comments. 🙂
OMG!!!!!! And it’s huge! I will need to paint about a dozen of them!
Very cute! 😀

Well, lately I’ve been spending more time on PYOs than I should. 😀 But when I’m in the mood to paint, it’s what I do instead of watching TV or reading or that kind of thing, so once I finish work I’ll spend all evening painting.
They are adorable. I particularly like the bengal one!
I kind of feel guilty complaining sometimes, because I really have nothing to complain about. We have money in the bank (even if my personal funds are pretty much all gone) and I’m not sick, my pets are all fine right now, everything is pretty good. I just feel like crap anyway. I’m so sick of working. I’m tired of making things for other people, and not the things I want to make. But then I do steal a little time to make the things I want to make, and nobody notices or cares. I know I should make art purely for the love of it, I shouldn’t depend on other people’s praise, but I kind of like when people comment on and enjoy my stuff… It’s depressing when nobody does. And I’m always tired, and always cold, and I just feel like crap, even though every doctor’s visit for months has said my thyroid levels are normal now, it feels like they aren’t. It’s probably all just in my head, and I should be able to not let it drag me down so much, but I can’t help it.
Oh my gosh, those eyes! The paint job really compliments them and makes him look super cute 🙂 Really nice job! Love how he seems to glow.
Aww, thank you.
After shooing the cat out of my lightbox, I got some pics of my latest PYO. It’s another watercolor one, doing a little bit more experimenting with what I can do with it. (You can’t antique with it, exactly, but I got a sorta similar effect this time. Needs more experimenting to perfect, I think.)
It’s very loosely based on a kingfisher and a flame-point siamese cat.
It’s also for sale, I’ll be sticking it up in the classifieds later. 🙂
Very nicely done. 😀 (Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. I probably should do a fire phoenix at some point myself.)
