Just wanted to capture and share a rare moment of these guys being well-lit, since they spend most of their time in “too dark for good pictures” lighting.

I grew up in St. Louis, MO, which is close to Illinois! My first Windstones came from a store they used to have at malls, too. Wicks n Sticks.
I live in Seattle, WA now, though.

I wonder if getting a 1099 changes where you have to report it, though? I use Tax Act. I think they usually ask me if I got any 1099s, and I would put in the information there, but I’m not sure how to tell it not to count that as a profit.

You could search on eBay (for “Windstone pegasus” or something, for example) and then tick the “sold” filter to see the ones that are still available to view.

I could see myself paying that much for a piece that I *really* wanted. But I prefer ones with lots of different colors, so it definitely wouldn’t be any of the twilight gem pieces.

This whole thing is confusing to me. Let’s say you didn’t make a profit, but you did get the 1099, how do you faithfully report to the IRS that you got a 1099 but also indicate that you shouldn’t pay taxes on it because it wasn’t a profit?
I guess it will make more sense once I actually look at the forms.
It’s also confusing because does this mean now we have to register as sole proprietors of a small business and file as a different type of taxpayer just because we sold some windstones?
I’m an independent contractor and for my job it actually made sense for me to incorporate as an LLC, so I’m the sole member/owner and employee of a small business already, and now on top of that I have a secondary small business where I’m just a sole proprietor selling windstones? So confusing!

Not sure how I got free shipping, but back then it only cost $35 total. I got the 50x70cm version, and it’s BIG! I actually kind of wish it was slightly smaller.

Yes, it would be great to have these for all the grab bags, and also a link to the class photos for each grab bag. I can never find those.
I know where the post is with the links to all the show-off threads, which is nice, but unfortunately a lot of the pictures that had been posted in those have expired.
