Seconding that the new system worked great and I’m looking forward to the class photos! 🙂

That’s actually why I’m going to Corvallis! I have my eye on one of those guys, and I hope nobody snatches him up before Saturday. 😀
I love Gargoyle’s Statuary in Seattle. They have so many neat figurines (including Windstones!). I was hoping a similar store like that existed, maybe in Portland or something, but I haven’t been able to find one.
I checked the stores listed as Windstone dealers on the site, too, but most of them seem to be more of the type of stores that have rocks/books/herbs, which isn’t quite what I’m looking for. Or they’re way off to the west like in Astoria or something.

It must have just been down temporarily. I see that it’s working again now. Thanks!

It looks like the site hosting the lists is down?

Was there a test paint of the bantam dragon in pastel rainbow?
I doubt it. The “Pastel Rainbow” test paints were sold at the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018. The Kickstarter for the Bantam dragons was in April 2020 and I’m quite sure that was the first time Bantams were available. Some of the Kickstarter bantams were painted in “Pastel Rainbow” type colors but they weren’t called “Pastel Rainbow”.
If you want to double check, these are the ebay auction picture threads for 2017 and 2018:
Thanks! I like the test paint version of pastel rainbow better than production, but it sounds like there wouldn’t have been a bantam.

I realize that the legion of fans for “Solar Eclipse” and “Onyx Moonstone” will not agree with this! Those colors have sold very well for Windstone and Gina does a great job painting them.
Having said that – I used to say that “Anything looks good with black” but I have changed my mind. In my opinion, antiquing with color (having color between the black scales) does not look good with black.
It’s a case-by-case basis for me. Some of the SEs and OMs work for me and some don’t. The SE secret keeper is the best SK I’ve ever seen.
The problem I have is I like more colorful dragons, but I keep buying “black with other color” ones because they look so good. But then I have a bunch of black dragons when I really want colorful ones.
I’ve got two black gold and one each of silver (intense black), BVP, SE, and OM. Just means I need to get more other ones to balance them out, right? 😀

Ah, okay. There’s usually only a few ads a day, so it seemed strange for 30 of them to get reposted on the same day.

Sounds like even though zelle isn’t going to send a 1099-K, technically, legally, you probably are supposed to report zelle earnings on your taxes?

That’s awful, Kujacker. I’m sorry.
Most of the posts seem to be about actual serious problems, but I’m going to throw in my own low-gravity whine: I’ve been looking specifically for an emerald peacock scratching dragon. Somebody posted that they wanted a scratching dragon and were open to most colors.
A seller offered them an emerald peacock for below store price just because it’s still in production. ??? That’s not how pricing works, I would have paid more for it than that.
sighhh.
And also, I bought a jade scratcher for $250, but when I got it it turned out to be covered in caked-on dust, chips, and scratches. I decided to keep it anyway.
And then like a month later one that looks like it was in way better condition sold for $213. :\

It didn’t help that this was an entirely new sculpt. It might have worked better if a production color of the sculpt had been offered first, then later a grab bag. People who just wanted to have one of the sculpt might have been satisfied. I have never had such a hard time getting through as I did for this, and I still don’t have confirmation from Windstone that I actually got one, only a payment receipt from PayPal.
Same here, but I can see the invoice in my account on the Windstone page, so I’m hoping it’s all good.

Any hints what color the next hearth dragons in the store will be? There were a lot of unpainted ones on that cart!

February 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm in reply to: What are your squeaks? Tell Melody here!! (part 2) #1654309I agree. The color schemes with black bodies are kind of cool, but I don’t really collect them because it’s too much black. I like more color on the dragons.
