Went from part time groomer to part time kennel tech, to manager in a couple months, then when they wanted to sell a couple years later, I took my retirement and bought the biz! I do love it but there are cons to go with the pros.Now there’s something I could do and enjoy. How did you get started operating a dog boarding facility?

Kim, that is a sweet story! I’d def work at one first to see if you like it. There is a lot to take in. I read a couple books that were very very helpful and you can find them on amazon cheap, if you’re interested. I can even mail you mine if you’d like. You need soooo much capital to start your own and that was a downer for me. You need a lot to get it started and then enough in the bank to operate 6 month to a year (sometimes two) in the red-depending on your location. Buying an established one is so much easier. I’d have even liked to buy one with a bad reputation and build it up but ours was already good. If you’d like the book I have pm me your addy and I’ll send it off. It’s a good start and will give you some ideas!

I don’t know if you got my eBay message but I figured I’d cover both bases. I found the Poad card today while listing another Poad. It’s not mint, but I can mail it off to you if you like. Not sure if you found another one on here or not. Let me know! If it were me, I’d like to have it, too.
Dang. I just shipped a Poad to Australia. I hope it makes it there with less of an adventure than this one did.

Thank you everyone! I think I’ll have the gamma knife on Friday. After talking to folks who have had it done, it seems to vary a lot person to person. Guess I’ll just have to see how it works for me. I expect headaches after and I’ve heard swelling and a worsening of symptoms is common after month 3-5 for a couple of months while the tumor swells due to radiation. If I have the procedure Friday, I’m wondering in April Fools jokes would be appropriate… Haha!
In the meantime, I’ve begun slowly listing my Windstones. After I picked up and decided to keep the first 5, I figured I really needed to let some go!! There are a few in boxes I’m keeping but for the most part, if it’s boxed, I’m gonna list it. Prob means I’ll have many more Windstones on display in the next few weeks!! Love you guys:)
