Beautiful babies! I predict a lot of trading – every one up for trade seems to be some else’s favorite, LOL.

in reply to: How are you all posting pictures? #1492101

Figured out the problem with the ads. All the pictures I took I shot vertically. I had sized the pictures 640×480 (height&width), but it wants the width minimum 640. So, I turned the pictured sideways and it worked. So, now I have to do that to all the pictures I just took, or re do the pictures. I don’t want to drag them all outside again, So for this batch, I’ll just turn them. *sigh* I’m really not liking the new forum. Thanks again for all your help!

What happens if you resize your img so the width is 640? The height should be 4/3 the width (too many meds…I can’t do the arithmetic in my head) anne should be okay.

Wow, I think this is the fastest a grab bag will have ever reached me. normally it takes 5-6 days. im getting mine tomorrow!!

Lucky you! Mine is still processing. Understandable; I did not buy mine until they were dropping back out of the carts. I am glad I got one but…(Bites nails!!!) (Must Learn Patience, Grasshopper…)

Mine jumped out the cart, anyone else’s do this??

It happens sometimes during the buying rush. Did you go back and try again? There are still Unicorns in carts that haven’t been paid for. Keep trying until there are none in carts.

At 3 pm I checked my emails then checked Windstone (in case Bipolar Bear was going to host a livestream), saw nothing and took a nap. Logged back on at 4:30 pm….and they were all in carts! Kept kicking myself (who needs to sleep!!!!) for 20 minutes while I waited for a unicorn to come to me…and HE DID! YEAH!!!! I’m so stoked! Can’t wait to see which one I get. Looking forward to everyone’s pictures too. Just bought a tripod and remote control for my cell phone (so I can take pictures despite my tremors) and this baby will be my first try at photographing the new normal way.

I do not think the color is random. Years ago Windstone livestreamed a session where the baby unicorns, I think it was, got their eyes with the forum making suggestions as we watched. I noticed at the time that there were a wide variety in taste when it came to eye color (although just about everyone loved the Zombie eyes?). Now, I am sure someone at the plant with a good sense of color makes the decision.

I accidentally bought two more horses, instead of one, (computer hiccupped and I just went with it – oh, my aching bank account!) and they both arrived (together) yesterday. I figured I’d keep one and sell the other. Wrong! I got a beautiful leopard appy (First page, bottom row, 3rd from left?) and a lovely dun (buckskin? roan?) with a red mane and tail (Page 4, top row, far left). Both in their forever homes unless someone REALLY MUST HAVE! I’ve got to find a way to take photographs! They are both so stunning; even the new photo technique that Windstone is using doesn’t do them justice. Melody continues to outdo herself.
I’m also enjoying all the other photos. I haven’t seen one yet that I wouldn’t keep :)!

I received my pebble cob recently but had trouble finding him in the class picture. Silly me – turns out he is the dapple grey on the store photo. From a different angle, his head appears much darker but I was able to match up his blaze. Beautiful! Against all common sense (and probably the law, too) I have ordered another horse. I’m going to get such a disparaging glare from my roommate when it arrives 🙂

    in reply to: Kittens…Ugh! #949729

They are adorable! A friend, overwhelmed with sick parents, missed the “window” with a stray female kitten she adopted (she has a tamed feral colony, all spaded and neutered, that live outside) and as a result is dealing with the four surviving kittens. One, named “Oops”, (the others are ‘Zilla, the biggest, “Uh-Oh” and “Missy – stak”) is the runt and at 6 weeks still fits in my friend’s hand. The runt is now being syringe fed kitty milk, to try and bring her up in weight. The mother cat is still not fixed; my friend can’t leave her bedbound mother or very absent minded father (multiple strokes) alone and there is no one to take the mother cat in to be fixed (I’m homebound and can’t help). Sometimes it is tough doing what needs to be done…

Nice work so far. Are you going to keep her after repairing her?

in reply to: July 2016 Grab Bag Horses! #949638

All fantastic so far! Mine is among the late night Thursday shipment that didn’t get picked up…so I wait with bated breath.

Is it just me, or does this momma unicorn just not seem quite right?

The white in the eye throws me. Is that standard or retouched?

in reply to: July 2016 Grab Bag Horses! #949438

I’m ordering mine after I write this message (BAD Woman! NOT IN BUDGET! *Sticks out tongue at sensible adult personality*).
They all are beautiful – as usual. However, my favorite is third class picture, last row, left corner. Although not close, he still looks like the horse I had for over 24 years. IF anyone gats him, and is not in love, please check with me 🙂

    LOL!

Thank you, Hannah, for posting Saxifrage. I am happy to share him with everyone. I also want to say thanks to everyone else for posting pictures. As usual, Melody continues to outdo herself. This batch has been fantastic – so colorful, imaginative and beautiful. I almost didn’t participate but am so glad I did!
