I live in Oregon – there are forests EVERYWHERE! LOL You can’t avoid the darned things!
Oh there are forests in CA and CO too, just not in the amusement parks!

I know a lot of amusement parks and zoos have the large dinos statues.
Oh, with foresty areas? Huh. That’s cool. I’ve never found a place like that in either of the states I’ve lived. 🙁 Not that I’ve been around the entire state(s ).
By the way, this is my 100th post! Booyah!

I already figured I’d have stiff competition, but wow! Great job, everyone- and I literally mean everyone! Amazing. No matter who wins, it was well-earned.
I want to know how some of you managed to find what appear to be actual large dinosaur structures of some sort, in the freakin’ forest. Do tell once the contest is over.

Welcome to the forum! It doesn’t seem like long ago at all that I was posting an introduction in this section- and yet I’m nearly at 100 posts. How did that happen?
Good luck with your Quest entry- winning that would be an awesome welcome, wouldn’t it? Anyway it’s great you’re enjoying yourself and participating. 🙂Formerly had the Batman & Joker avatar!
That would be cool, but don’t make too many of them to keep ’em special.

No problem! 🙂

I got a replacement engine for my Bronco today for $250! Do you know what a good deal that is? I’d been saving up to get an engine from Ford with a warranty this time, because I’m tired of dealing with fixing engine issues! I have other stuff to do to my Bronco than that! But saving for that was taking so long, and then this came along on Craigslist. They were asking $350 for it originally, but since I’m planning on switching to fuel injection (I’m done with carburetors on this Bronco!) and agreed to let him keep the intake, he decreased the price… he said he was dropping the price 50 bucks, so I thought it would be 300, but he said 250. So, I wasn’t going to argue.
Anyway, it seems to really be in decent condition (and I didn’t check it out by myself; I had 3 “car guys” with me), but I have to finish collecting the fuel injection parts as soon as possible before I can get it going and know for sure. I’m just happy to feel like I’m finally moving along with my Bronco again, after months of not being able to drive him. 🙁 He’s my daily driver as well as my off-road fix. It’s a good thing my husband has enough vehicles for me to be driving one in the meantime. Haha.
Anyway, this is just so awesome. I can’t believe I got such a good deal. It seems too good to be true, making me dread that it won’t work somehow… but I need to put those thoughts aside and rejoice. 😀 Time to spend the day at the salvage yard tomorrow!Formerly had the Batman & Joker avatar!
May 26, 2013 at 9:15 am in reply to: Behind the Screen- Real Photos of Windstone Collectors! #897893At the end of March/early April, I made a visit to my parents/family in CA. Here are a couple pictures of me enjoying the vacation.
(I was going to wait until the next page in this thread, because it didn’t seem good to post again in here so soon after myself (lol), but it’s been taking too long!)

I’m terrified of tornadoes, probably because I watched the movie Twister an awful lot when I was little (I still watch it sometimes; it’s kind of a horror movie for me!). Tornadoes are so fascinating, yet terrible. I could never bring myself to live in a tornadoey area.
When I heard about the 2-mile wide tornado, I was terror-stricken, even though it was nowhere near here. What a thing from hell. I’ve been thinking about everyone over there in Oklahoma, although I don’t know anyone.Formerly had the Batman & Joker avatar!
How do I make them 2 MB?
I’ll try to give you some basic instructions… You most likely have Microsoft Paint, or a similar program, on your computer. (If not, you should be able to find a free, simple photo-editing program with an online search, which you can then install.)
Open the picture you want to re-size, in “My Pictures” or wherever it is. Right-click on the image, and go to “open with… Paint” (or with whatever). The picture will open up with that program. At the top in that program, there are options and you will probably need to click on the one that says “image” and see that drag-down menu. Choose “resize.” Choose a lower percentage; this will automatically resize it for you while keeping the picture’s proportions. After you reize, save the image (don’t save INSTEAD of the original, though), and then open up that image so you can check the size. Right click the image and click on “properties.” It will tell you the size, and if it says 2MB or less, you’re fine. If it lists the size in KB instead of MB, it is more than small enough. If you didn’t downsize it enough, do it again and just make the percentage smaller when resizing.
I hope that made sense and is helpful.Formerly had the Batman & Joker avatar!
May 26, 2013 at 8:25 am in reply to: We've been restocking Curled Dragons – today we have Emerald (5/23/13) #897887I noticed some days ago that the emerald color shift curlies disappeared from the store (rather than just being out of stock). I’d been wanting one but hadn’t had a chance to get one, since I was never prepared with the money when they became available. I know they were limited. Are there plans to do more again, or has their run finished for good? That will determine whether I post a “wanted” ad or wait on the store when I’m ready to get one.

What an interesting idea, Hartensol! But if he’s a dragon defender, his armor probably shouldn’t look like it’s made of dragon scales. And wait, I don’t know about yours, but my dragons are quite good at defending themselves! Not that I’m trying to shoot the idea down- it IS interesting! 🙂

Last night, in part of my post in the “Enter the World of Windstone” thread, I mentioned wanting to find my old Windstone booklet… well when I thought about it, I got an idea of where it might be (in a stuffed-full metal box where I have “important” stuff/documents), and sure enough, I found it there! Heck yeah, I’m happy. 😀
