The cast gypsum castles being resold seem all damaged, that’s why I thought this one might be in equal danger (especially with how people pack such now and how the mail services beat everything up). That idea for leaving space for internal lights sounds great! I’m sure people can figure out some easy to install options.
Love the idea of a fish pond insert with tiny fish. That’s so cute! My Beta fish might get jealous, lol.Actually, for a castle that fragile, why not have some assembly be required? The towers can be more safely packaged that way too. And people can buy replacements if they break one but not all of the pieces. Lots of models get sold that way now, so might be an idea to consider for a PYO castle.

There was some confusion over my extra bantam choices so I requested an exchange for 37 (who was just B at the time among the pics, lol). I keep forgetting which clone it was so forgive if I refer to it as D or some other letter (I checked the box this time).

I don’t have much of a grail list but I’m hereby stating pretty much all bantams are now my love, I adore the sculpt. I would be hard pressed to give up any I got nos, easier to give up all my other Windstones first! But one I saw a pic of and made a grail is the blue tiger with pink edged wings. I’m sure it’s in a forever home but… well, one can dream, eh? If anyone who has it reads this, please if you ever want to rehome it, just let me know what I can offer.

All these trade offers make me wish I had trade material. I’m absolutely in love with the bantam sculpt (cute and compact and jewel/metal tones when you see them in person–my favorite combo!) and would willingly give up my production pieces for them (except my OW named for a deceased friend’s character and the repaired oriental that I don’t have the heart to give anyone because of the fading and paint and bent horn issues). So if anyone down the line (I’m sure not now, tho!) wants to rehome theirs and is willing to consider for $, just keep me in mind should that time come, please. I apologize for posting this now but just wanted to put it out there.
Ah, I love this thread. You all have such beauties! Maybe we can set up a gallery for all these guys? Kinda like the ebay ones have a gallery? It’d be a good way to record them for reference down the line as well, especially with so many originals, plus clones, plus rainbows.
I did get a suggestion (
) that after Melody has a chance to recover from all this, we can always request a grab bag of rainbow tiger bantams down the line.And also other sculpts in rainbow tiger.

Those set designs and art work are awesome! My grandfather used to do that and make furniture for the Budapest Opera and the opera singers, so I can appreciate your talent!
Damn, I wish I lived closer to some of you, lol. Would then know who to hire for paintwork and who to turn to for kitchen remodeling! You guys are amazing!
Aha, so Mr Chagan245, can I request certain pills be changed from white to a color?
I swear almost every pill I organize for my mom is white making it hard to tell her or others what is what. If you can do anything to help that for various common pills, Ill be in your debt!Me, I’m a PT (PainandTorture, PersonalTorturer, oh yes, Physical Therapist too). I did 10+ years subacute/skilled nursing/nursing home full time with some hospital acute care part time thrown in, then in more recent years lucked out and got the retirement job early working for insurance full time. I push papers from home now, but it’s a good thing because dealing with my mom’s care since her stroke is very time consuming and I couldn’t do that with my old hours and doing hands-on with patients. Also I’ve my own minor but annoying health issues and it was good to escape the heavy lifting before I could get permanently injured like many healthcare workers I know.

Some of you wanted to see the Lalique goldfish. So I took a quick pic of the stuff hiding in the safe since I was digging around there yesterday.
Starting left. The odd tube is a weather glass (not in the safe, just always out). Then that odd shaped yellow is an Italian Murano glass bunny with orange ears (hidden behind the orange bird), his silver sticker is faded but still there. The orange pressed glass bird (cardinal?) is one I’m still trying to identify, some kind of M in a circle mark under it, but it glows cool under UV light. At the orange bird’s feet is the Lalique goldfish collector edition, you can’t see here but the back of the base is signed (not bad for a $4 thift find), the gold dust on the scales is faint and apparently they only did it on the one side, but she almost glows in your hand so this pic doesn’t do her justice. The faint yellow behind that is a freeform glasswork signed by the artist that reminds me of a heart’s chambers and is better on a sunny spot where it gets a more distinct green and yellow sheen in places. The big box is a mother of pearl inlay Asian red laquer jewelry box, right now holding reading teasures instead of jewelry (as the books on top attest, they hide a dragon and phoenix up there). Next is a Goebel crystal cardinal. And last but not least is a white marble elephant with semiprecious stone inlay.
All are thrift, rummage, flea market and garage sale finds. There’s other good ones scattered around the condo, some crazy good finds and some just pretty but hey, I’m reorganizing all the time. So I can show more fun stuff another time.
Got my 3 extra bantams! Love them! T14, mystery rainbow tiger, 37B. You know, those mystery tiger stripes could be a great dragon line… I love how it starts making you wonder if the dragon is that color with rainbow stripes, lol!
Ive a rainbow and T14 on the way soon, I can trade with you if the rainbow I get doesn’t suit me but you like it. I think yours is beautiful! Me and bf are partial to green.
