Anyway, I was just looking at that anti-shurt’ugal (however you spell thaaat..) website, and according to them Paolini didn’t even finish Eragon when he was 15. He just started writing it then, and finished it 4 years later. Pfft. Ticks me off that people judge him by his AGE…

I wouldn’t so much judge an author by their age, but I would say it is a factor, not of good or bad writing, but simply of substance. Really he might be an amazing 15 years old writer, but he only has the life experience of a 15 year old.

You can’t communicate what you haven’t lived. And, no offence to all the young people on the forum, many of you may have gone through a lot of things by the time you got to 15, but there is still so much more to experience emotionally, intellectually, physically and nothing but time will give you that experience.

So what I’ll say is, I haven’t read this book, I will read it, and I’m sure I will enjoy it very much.

littleironhorse, I have a 75 lb rottie/aussie shepherd mix that is like yours. I finally talked to the vet and got her anxiety meds, and give her 1/2 a pill if the weather is going to be really nasty. She doesn’t even like rain, but it’s really kind of nice to have the pills on hand for big storms. Mine likes to hide in our mud room…

        And the bunnies are adorable!!

I talked to the vet and got those anxiety pills a few years ago, but they just made her sick to her stomach and had no effect on the anxiety.

What I currently do is, when she gets really bad, I lock her into the bathroom. WAIT! WAIT! Before you crucify me: It’s the only thing that will allow her to calm down! And I already feel bad enough about it. It only works when she’s really terrified though… If she’s just feeling nervous, she sticks to me like glue and will scratch a hole through the door to get to me. But if she’s really scared, she’ll actually get in there on her own and I’ll just close the door. 30 to 90 minutes later I’ll let her out and she’ll be all better, just a little bit on edge. It’s only thunderstorms that do that to her luckily.

It’s really too bad that we don’t all live in the same city! Think of the potential book borrowing!

😯 It boggles the mind 😆

I have seen the books but I’m just not into historical fantasy. I might give it a try though if you say it’s good.

Well the bidding for the white young dragon went over what BTWedding was asking for one, so I stopped bidding and bought BT’s instead. It was just easier (and cheaper) that way, and I know they are a trusted seller.

I’m still looking for a brown one and an emerald one with either eye color. And an Autumn Leaf OW, see other thread.

It’s funny how people get so caught up in bidding that they loose sight of price. I’m like you, when I start bidding on something, I always make sure to know if there is one available as a BIN, or just as regular production and I always bid slightly lower than that. Really, what’s the point of an auction if you end up paying more?

Well, it was a one of a kind and sold for $2026.00. So unless the winner is desperately in need of money, I don’t really see it happening.

Was it won by a Forum member by the way?

Yea the girl he saves Arya is supost to be an elf. Don’t know what happened to her ears? And when he meets the Varden there are supost to be dwarfs!? I noticed the wing folding thing too ouch! But loved that she had feather-scales.

Now that’s just silly (The film makers not what you said) for someone who hadn’t read the book, there really isn’t any way to know that! What were they thinking?

Sorry to have to be the one to break this to you DM, but on ebay there is no such thing as “top of the list” 😉

Seeing as you are so faithful though, I do hope you get one of the first batch! I will certainly be trying for one as well 😀

Saw it, loved it, but I haven’t read the book yet, I’m getting it for Christmas. I’m sure I will love the book even more, I always do. Although I agree, it did seem a bit sketchy to me. But Saphira was SOOOO beautiful!

Vantid I just don’t understand you, they are so adorable!

And since I’m on vacation, I was home to receive them! And this after I bugged Magical Omaha to death for info about delivery date! Sorry Cindy 😳

So here is the report: Do buy from Magical Omaha, they offer great customer service, and even stay very patient with pesky, annoying customers and they make bomb proof packages!

PS: Thanks for the bonus incense!

Poor baby! I feel so bad when my dog is scared and I can’t do anything to reassure her! She’s terrified of thunderstorms… and I mean, trembling, keening, panting, salivating, trying to fit in my pocket terrified! And as she weighs 70 pounds, the fitting in my pocket thing is a little difficult!
