Drag0n, you can’t have him! 😂 my collection of him has around 200 pieces, and always growing.
(Funny because I actually don’t care for SnK, but Armin is bae)In the raffle so far:
Bodine
Sherry10151982
Ela_Hara
GardenNinjaAlright, three so far 🙂
Bodine
Sherry10151982
Ela_HaraI can’t believe I won him… I don’t have the luck to win things! I’m so excited!
I’ll get my PIF thread up in a couple days.Wow, this one is a popular one!
I’d like to enter as well, please, if that is alright 🙂 Can’t resist a black dragon. This is the first swap I opted out of… mental illness is like that 🙂 But I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone will paint. This is quite a large group!
Hmm that’s interesting. I wonder if Windstone keeps numbers on all their sculpts like that? Like Drag0n, it feels like there were more of them made.
I have a first batch red eyed of this oriental and the young one… though mine don’t have as much patina color on them.It really is amazing what you can find at goodwill or second hand shops. I’ve run into many Windstones at second hand shops actually (but only purchased one).
Thank you Scarletdrite! He’s just perfect~
Ferlin1984, I’m happy you like him! Unfortunately, I took very very poor photos of him haha Here are two that look decent (and are more true to color) and one that is very much not true to color but shows the rainbow sparkles a little bit… so if you’re able to get better photos of him, please do!
I don’t know who painted for me… I didn’t see any forum name anywhere. But geez, I LOVE him! I made an undignified noise when I unwrapped him. He is perfect. Thank you so much! 😭
And he fits right in with [part of] my ferret collection~
As a seller, I try and get everything out ASAP. Even the day of purchase (self service USPS machine at night is my savior… I don’t have to talk to anyone and I can wait till the sun goes down). As a buyer, I understand that things can take awhile to ship… in fact I bought something on ebay on the 7th, and it wasn’t till this morning that I was notified that it had been shipped… I didn’t have much of an issue with it, but my one thought was “it took you 10 minutes to accept my offer but four days to ship. Huh”. I think, for me, having the item shipped within a week (no communication) is acceptable. After that, please let me know the hold up is.
There was one time, to go along with what was stated above, that after a week of no shipping or communication, I asked what was up. No reply. After two weeks I filed for a return. A couple days after that I finally got a reply. Turns out they were in the hospital. I did get my item after everything was said and done and they were very polite and apologetic. I’m always polite as well, as I just feel like it’s better to be… even if the seller isn’t.As for communication on my end, as many of you know, I have horrible crippling anxiety and severe depression. Sometimes, answering that email is just too much for me and so it sits. Then it sits. And days later I feel even worse about replying because it’s been so long which, well, cycles back into anxiety.
…and this is why I try to get my items out that day or the next day to avoid long term communication like that >__>And to go along with what Fatalbeauty said, poor internet. Sometimes I’ll be at work and get an email but the internet at work is seriously impossible… but by the time I get home I completely forget about said email and well… it might take a day or two before I realize I never replied.
How do y’all figure prices? I really do miss that database we use to have… made selling pieces easier.
I have a sitting and rising peacock spectral that I’m interested in selling, but have no idea their worth. I tried reverse searching on ebay (what has sold), but it wasn’t exactly useful… there were only a couple listings, and… $300 for a sitting just sounds like way too much to me. Maybe I was just searching incorrectly?I am really loving that oriental! He looks so sleek, and the colors work so well.
Mine is almost complete. Odd, since I’m normally one of the last to finish 🙂
My first post was March 30th of 2007, though I know I joined and lurked before I made a comment. I didn’t realize that the forum was so new at that point.
Hmm I have 12 or 13 prints (all inherited from my mom that purchased them in like the 80s?) and they’re all in black and white… even though that link only shows them in color. (Lion/tiger/cat, unicorn bust, unicorn with two babies and the wizard with the dragon)
I’ve sent my info.
