I love reading people’s stories. Welcome. I lost all of my collectibles including some Windstone dragons when I had an evil landlord evict me, change the locks on my house two days early and put all my possessions into storage, then supposedly dispose of them 2 months later and I haven’t seen anything I owned since. I feel your pain at losing collections like that. But I have bounced back and am slowly building up a new little collection on here, buying, selling and trading and it’s been great. It is true though that you may suddenly find yourself spending your savings on these little guys once you get hooked on here. But I have met some great and friendly people on here and love the whole experience as well. If you are looking for pieces to buy or trade and haven’t found it yet, the classifieds section is great, under the community tab. I didn’t know it was there when I first joined but have found it useful for buying, selling and trading my pieces.

I also got #1, 2 and 15 wrong and I knew what the wolf one was but didn’t know what it was called technically. I looked at pictures of every sculpt I could think of that had a necklace and didn’t know the mouse wizard had one! The second one I thought for sure was a griffin so I didn’t look that carefully. I have poads too but all my sculpts were in boxes from moving when I guessed these, so I was just going by online pictures to identify these. I had no idea which dragon #15 was so just took a guess but didn’t get it. I had a hard time with some of the others but after looking at a lot of pictures, managed to identify them. Funny that the ones I thought would be easier, were the ones I got wrong.

I haven’t personally come across that but most Windstone pieces are fairly tolerant of a little water to clean them. When I brought a bunch home I bought from someone, they were dirty and had caked on dust and smelled bad but I showered them off in my tub, wiped them with a soft wet cloth with mild soap and then rinsed them off, and then let them air dry on a towel after I gently patted them dry and they came our looking like new again. That would get yours clean but if you have any surface or paint damage that won’t wipe off, you can always go buy acrylic paint and try to mix some to match the colour and fill in paint chips or flaws that way. That’s what I have done for repairs on mine. For larger chips, I use that poly filla stuff you can fill drywall holes with and then when it’s dried, I sand it and then paint it and then after a few coats of paint, I use a little varnish over it to protect it.

Brandy, I totally forget but where do you live again that is was so snowy? Here in Calgary it’s been gorgeous and sunny for the past few days although when I was moving into my new place just over a week ago, it snowed the day we had to move all our stuff from the U-Haul into our new place and I had to shovel like two feet of snow off the roads, sidewalk and stairs up to our house before we started the task of unloading the U-Haul all day, which I mostly did myself because my mom can’t lift much. My car and the U-Haul got stuck in the snow before we even made it to our new place as the roads were awful and after shoveling all around them in the street, I gave up on the car and left it parked but actually got the U-Haul unstuck by pushing it out as my mom drove and this is when it was full. I never thought little me could actually get a big truck like that to move. It was crazy! We got it all done though and took the truck back and the last few days I have been buried in my house trying to unpack boxes and organize furniture and everything. All my Windstones are still in their boxes. As for the time change, I realized it had changed as I was up late cleaning and didn’t get much sleep that night after that. I love the time change in the fall but hate it in the spring or should I say winter here. Haha.

Here is the little tiger unicorn my mom got. She doesn’t know how to load pics on here so I am doing that for her. My mom likes my autumn leaf one and wants me to trade hers instead. She is gorgeous and we love her purple mane and amethyst gem to match and her baby blue eyes which match her blue stripes but she is not rainbow and I had my heart set on a rainbow one. So she is up for trade only for a tiger with more rainbow colours, a rainbow zebra, a lichen or winterberry with lots of colours. Also if you have any colourful unicorns from previous batches with pink, purple, blue or turquoise colours we’d love to see those too!

My mom got hers today which also took a while to get to Canada. It is a beautiful little tiger one a bit like Brandy’s but with different colours. It is orange with red legs, a purple mane and blue eyes and is really pretty. We will try and get pictures soon but if anyone has a rainbow coloured tiger or zebra or lichen to trade for a pretty tiger, let me know.

Hopefully these pictures work! I caught my little autumn leaf unicorn frolicking in the grass and leaves outside before it snowed again that night! Here she is in daylight, flash and with her leaf poad friend! She is a possible trade if you have a rainbow zebra, rainbow tiger or rainbow lichen. I also love pink and aqua colours on unicorns from previous batches.
I tried to resize these on photobucket but it doesn’t seem to have worked, if someone can let me know how to get the pictures smaller.
