Actually, I don’t think that was a tornado. I’m pretty sure it was a rain shaft–it was much easier to see in person than in the pictures. Still, it looked pretty awesome coming down from the upper cloud and moving to the lower cloud. And those mammatus clouds were so…solid. I’ll have to find my pictures of the water spout I took the last time I went on a cruise. That was very cool.
I’d say it was either a rain shaft or something was obstructing the light (Note the clouds from the edge of it to the right haven’t any light) .. God rays of sorts 🙂 I’d been a giddy lil girl looking at a sight like that! lol Those mammatus clouds are gorgeous!
Everyone’s photos are beautiful! Weather is very much so an art for me, I do weather photography for a hobby, hoping to learn enough and get into it enough that I might turn it into a partial profession. I’ll have to upload photos sometime!
Also Bodine, if you want some help on how to capture lightning photos, I can try to explain it (Hoping you camera allows access to the settings! – It’s also a handy way to capture fireworks photos)

Ah, that sounds horrible what you went through on those PYO’s Bodine! Some people get selfish, I’ve learned this with my art sometimes.. I agree, if you’re going to do something (Especially in excess) for someone, they should do something in return! Even if it is just a heart felt Thank you! I couldn’t imagine doing something like that to someone.. ‘n if anyone does any painting or the like for me I will be sure to return the favor in one way or another!
I had one of my digital paintings I did as a gift for some dog show friends, valued at $200. that they *loved* and do give me credit for, but they in turn put it on their Cafepress shop, I didn’t know if I should have been honored that they felt it was that good or put-off by it, since they didn’t even ask if I minded. It was a gift, and since they are friends, I didn’t say anything about it… but I did eventually make up my mind that I was a bit put-off that they decided to take my gift and try to make money from it… I don’t think into too much, since I know they meant no harm by it, but since then I have found the need to tell people that my commissions are non-profit personal use only at that price. It seems a bit unfair to me for someone to make money off my hard work… So to some degree, I know that sting of being taken for granted, ‘n it isn’t a pleasant one…I have seen a touch of the bad side of these forums, I hope to avoid it all the best I can! It isn’t enough to put me off from the site all together, I’ve seen, and previously been a part of those inner-circle wars of art (and I see how the dogshow world is, it’s WAY worse! lol)… they’re sad to see though! ‘n I most definitely do not want to end up in anything like that here! I am here to enjoy my love for Melody’s art with others! (and fall in love with the work of the other painters here, Windstone or non-Windstone hired! – Only since joining here have I grown the proper appreciation for everyone, since I wasn’t aware of the lengths this all goes to)

About how often do you recommend trimming? ‘n I will have to check out those hair products for sure!
I know my hair goes through some beatings, I dye it (No more than once every 3 months.. usually longer than that, though) and it gets an occasional hair drier or flat iron..
I’ve learned with my hair that if it’s feeling particularly dry, that if I use a conditioner it likes and once out of the shower, I’ll clip my hair up ‘n leave it up for the day (or a couple hours, anyway), when it comes out of the clip it’s usually still damp, but when it dries (and tends to dry quickly) it feels better…I would trim at least a half inch every 2 months or so!
That’s a good idea with the clip! Also, if you find yourself with nothing to do one morning, leave a heavy conditioner in your hair, don’t rinse, and clip it up. (Heavy conditioner impacts more moisture and won’t drip as you go about your morning activities.) You can make your own too! If the more normals are removed, and the set becomes too small, what do people think of a hat draw for those who can buy one? – It would help those of us afraid that we’d not be online in that time, and even the odds to all!
Say there are 70 unis? .. Have a price set for them, but then for say, 24hrs, have people submit their names to be drawn (Serious buyers only), then on a livestream do a hat draw for those eligible to buy (1) Baby Uni? (Only major disadvantage is needing to write down all the names x.x) and if there are 70 baby unis then say, draw 75 names, have a batch of backup names, in case after another 24, or maybe 48hrs someone doesn’t complete the order? and have the list posted online, for those who aren’t around for the livestream (or in my case, who’s net tells em to jump in a lake anytime a vid is attempted to be played, lol)It’s more work, so I dunno if its something ya’ll would actually wanna do, it was just a thought! >.> … Now I’m shutting up 🙂
and if the more normal ones are going to stay in and people find it unfair, price wise (At least if the $95 price is taking any solid consideration) then maybe find a meet in the middle price? goes up to justify the super fancy ones, but stays lower for those getting a not-so fancy one.
I’m trying to think of a non-bias solution with this, so sorry if my rambles seem.. odd XD My bias opinion is keep the fancy in one set and the non fancy in another set, but not everyone feels this way! and I’m leery of the idea of the set being very small!
If you DO separate them, I think the limit should definitely be one. If the batch gets smaller, then there’s a limit of 2, only 20 or 30 people will get them which would be unfortunate I think. 🙂

I dunno… It’s hard to choose exactly what to do since it is such a small batch, and prices are going up…Maybe get a photo of ’em all out and a general vote on the lesser fancy ones staying in or waiting for the next round? I think it will be easier to judge the idea of it after seeing what the “normal” ones in this batch actually look like! Maybe they’re fancy enough to not cause disappointment?
They are really cool looking. But he’s just painting (or selling ones that are painted) of production pieces.
I’ve seen them before in their natural metal, they’re pretty cool 🙂 I would probably have looked them over pretty well to see if a painted one stood out enough for me to buy 🙂

I’m thinkin this one might get passed over since Melody has been uber busy painting GB Baby Uni’s.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the blog for something, but haven’t personally expected much, they all seem busy over there! lol

you can watch the vid still. It just isn’t “live” anymore 😉 That’s how I caught the bits I did before my net failed me.
I personally think if the price is going up because they’re more detailed painting. Then it should only be detailed painting uni’s in the batch.
I like the more mellow ones as well as these crazy ones, but it isn’t at all fair to those who get the more plain ones that payed the extra for the crazy painting. I would rather see 70 go into the batch than be the one who pays $95 (or whatever the price is upped to) for one that matches the previous set, priced at $65.
As I saw someone, somewhere mention before, I would rather be excited to get a crazy one in a more normal batch than be disappointed by a normalish one in a crazy batch
Yikes! I wish you the best with this! I always fret in the summer over wildfires out here, the grass is so dry! but a winter wildfire is surprising!

My parent’s have some in a pond up in the mountain’s and they say their’s hardly move around right now. My Mom was worried they were going to die until the handyman told her about this.
PIXI-DUST know’s alot about goldfish also.
I kinda wondered about this. I haven’t been using the top light as much (Which is about the only way I have to warm the water right now) because I put an air pump in the tank, and it’s been gettin the top pretty soggy, being a non-expensive setup that didn’t come with an air pump, I don’t trust the top to be able to handle much moisture without causing electric problems. So since temps here have lowered, ‘n the house can get a lil chilly sometimes, the water is cooler too.

I’ll get you a photo of her up soon, Wampus. If this is the problem I obviously want to get some sort of treatment in the tank (or whatever is required to be done) to make her all better! I’ve had the fish for over a year now, and have grown an attachment to her, I’d hate to see something happen to her after all I’ve gone through thus far with this silly fish 😉 lol.
Her fins are starting to look a bit tattered too, I hadn’t noticed this till recently, couple of weeks ago she had gorgeous unharmed fins that she would stretch… this past week I haven’t seen her stretch hardly at all and noticed the tattered ends.. I’m unsure if this is because she didn’t have enough room and was ripping them up on the things in the tank (I removed the plant that used to be in there about a wk ago) or if something else is causing this.
