I have already left Hawaii… bus broke down on H1 on the way to Hickam, but we got out on time. Landed in Alaska for what was supposed to be a 1hr layover and the plane broke. Ended up stuck there for a day, but that was ok. Then we flew to Manes and tonight I should leave for Khandahar… my home for the next 365! Hopefully the deployment goes better than the trip here! Just wanted to drop in and say hello.

If you hate chocolate and love eating dirt in the freezing cold, this place is the place for you!!! I will be so happy when all the acft are built up and the unit we are replacing gets to go home. Then maybe everyone will settle down! The stress during transition is getting to everyone. There have even been fist fights! lol Its weird, but understandable, I guess. Thanks for all the support, everyone. Once we are settled I will post pics. Theres not much to see, though.
I couldn’t even imagine! Possible stupid question, can people send you chocolate?? (I’ve never tried sending anything out before, weirdly don’t know many military people, ‘n those I do are no longer active duty) I don’t know which would be worse, them trying to bomb you or no chocolate! (I have mass love for chocolate as well!) If it is allowed, please let me know what you like and I will send some to you with some jokers! – I may not know you beyond this forum thread, but it’s the least I could do for what you’re doing over there 🙂
