Tisk, ebay doesn’t allow selling of body parts. So no selling your enchanted bum.
well if I play by the ladies rules….I can just put a picture of my bum up…..and sell the spirit…which would actually be nothing….
You could fart into a bottle! That’d be your arse’s spirit, escaped! Highly potent!

I still haven’t decided which one to get when I go back, but I think I understand them a little better now. I’ll definately be doing some contemplating/debating before I pick one to use on my PYO wolf that’s for sure.
Actually, the Apple Barrel paints are indeed acrylics! They are just of a ‘craft’ grade instead of an ‘artist’s’ grade, but they are acrylic and I’ve used them to paint before. 🙂 Testors is a type of enamel paint which shouldn’t be used on large areas of Windstones (but you probably knew that!) 😀

My art: featherdust.comI haven’t had experience with any of those particular products except the gloss medium and varnish (if anyone HAS, please feel free to chime in and share how they worked for you) but I looked over each product.
And, in the end, it looks like you should choose based on your personal preference! It says that all of these extend or thin the paint and increase flow, which is what a thinning medium would do, essentially. So you should choose based on the results you want. The Matte medium will make the paint colors more opaque and reduce the gloss… perhaps a good thing for painting fur and feathers, and not so good for shiny scales. The gloss medium is a thick gel, that dries clear and very glossy, so if you want a nice rich glossy look this might be the one for you. The slo dri blending looks like a type of retarder which obviously slows down drying time and allows you to work the paint for longer. If you want to do a lot of very soft blending, this might be what you want.
All in all it’s personal preference! Good luck. 🙂

I’ve only dabbled in sculpting, and I know even from that much, it takes a lot of planning and changing things around to get it to work. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comskigod377 wrote:Ah! I understand. I just looked at all my dragons and sure enough, all their legs are either curled in the same way, or connected to their bodies. The griffins legs are not connected. I wonder why all the dragons are?
The griffin’s front claws are sitting on his tail though- that’s part of the base. 🙂 Maybe I misunderstood?
The male kirin has separate front legs, but think about the shape… thick up top, tapering to a point. If he had big honkin’ claws at the end of his feet she’d had to have fixed them to a base or something else.. but as he is it works. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comJust as a note about Cafepress calendars… from my experience they are a little hit-or-miss. I ordered several for friends and family with my artwork on them, and the artwork tended to get cropped really goofy, at random. One of my gryphons was missing a head for example. The frustrating part was that I had scaled each of my artworks to the exact template they provided and double checked, and the actual printed calendars were still wonky. Go figure!
There are other places that print calendars on demand, though unfortunately I can’t recommend any as I’ve not ordered any since my Cafepress ordeal. Good luck! 🙂

My art: featherdust.comHeee… Nirvanacat has sniped me twice now.
I really only collect a select few that really catch my attention. My ‘ideal’ collection is probably far less than 30 pieces.

I think Burd is a military macaw? I can’t remember… haven’t seen photos. I’ve only just heard him yelling on the phone… and sticking his tongue in Vantid’s ear.

My art: featherdust.comI expect ‘sapphire’ things to be a deep blue too… which is silly (seeing as how none of my sapphires are!) but I guess it’s hard wired. What about green sapphire? They’re usually kinda blue-green like this, that’s the kind of stone I have set into my engagement ring. It’s very pretty and kinda exotic.
The colors on this bring to mind:
Aurora
Green Opal
Ammolite (this sounds silly though)
Hummingbird
Auroras
(Color-enhanced) Nebula photos
Tropical ocean
Viridian
Aurora😉

She’s no longer with us sadly. She lived a very full 9 months! Mom used to make fun of me last summer as I walked home from work… it was about a 1.5 mile walk on a grassy hill, and I’d catch grasshoppers for her dinner the whole way. I’d have one in-between each finger and would have to have someone open the door for me to get into the house! 😆

I know I already shared photos of my mantis, Kamakiri before, but I can’t seem to find the thread, so here she is!

Unfortunatly, I can’t afford it right now. 😥 I hate being broke. (Not only am I broke but, I just recieved an unexpected bill in the mail. The kind that they don’t even put a price on until you order. And I have to pay it asap or miss a round of shots in January. Then I’d be in big trouble. I hate medical expenses.)
Oof! Good luck with that. 🙁
enchantments wrote:ahhh I love your art! I first saw it on the Gryphon pages and never really put two & two together to figure out that was you. I’m a little slow sometimes. Maybe if I get some cash for x-mas I’ll buy a few for the new house! do you think you will have any of the sale prints left? there are 2 that I really want
I’m not sure, but they’re not selling really fast so I hope so! 🙂
