How’s the gallery building going?
Are the former Ebay/Test Paint galleries going to be folded this one? I was trying to find some of the photos from the old Ebay Gallery/Staff Gallery, and they seem to be gone (mostly I was looking for certain test paints from a couple years ago, but also I was trying to check whether a Jungle Flame Lap Dragon has been made yet) – do we have an ETA for when they might come back? Or for the gallery that’s replacing them?
This was Pam’s project, and she is no longer at Windstone. I’m not sure if someone else picked this up, or not….

And I can’t get my ads to go up either. They need to be “approved by the administrator”
All of my PMs and many others made it in tact… Have you been in touch with Clay? They may be recoverable!
Also I highly recommend folks do business deals via email, just so you have a better record of things like addresses, prices, etc. I can’t tell you the number of forums I’ve used over the years where an update or server problem nuked my PMs and I lost that info. It’s too transient… use email! Emails are usually easier to search, too, years down the line (from experience, when old problems pop back up…).

My art: featherdust.comAll of my messages carried over fine, but they were “hidden”. If you go to the Messages tab in your account info, there’s four categories under the main bar: Inbox, Starred, Sent, and Compose. I found most of my messages under the Sent tab upon clicking it.
For me, aside from ads requiring approval (something I’m sure they’re working on as I doubt they want to waste their time every day to do just that), the biggest problem is the cover photos. Even when I use the recommended size the image gets cut off. And if a picture isn’t loaded for it, it seems to completely block the main bar of tabs (listings, messages, etc) unless I stop the page before it completely loads.
You bet– we don’t want to have to approve ads any more than you want to wait for us to approve them 🙂
As for the cover image problem, what browser are you using? On a computer or mobile device? I’m trying to replicate your problem but I can’t seem to.

My art: featherdust.comAdmin approval of classifieds is not intended to be permanent. Most (small) sites such as ours that have a classifieds section require users to pay to sell items, and so admin approval is built into the software that runs it. Clay has been working hard to get this all fixed, please be patient. Remember, ads here are free, and are actually costing Windstone money to run…! Anyhow, Clay is your guy for fixing this. About Renewing Classified Ads
I posted a test ad, using a normal subscriber account (not an admin account), and this is what I learned:
“Updating” an ad is not the same as “renewing” an ad. If you edit one of your ads you will get an email stating that the ad has been updated; but if the ad was expired before you edited it, it will still be expired. “Updated” simply means that you edited the ad. As far as I can tell, the only way to renew an ad is to click the “renew” link in the email you get telling you that your ad is about to expire. But here’s the trick…
If you are logged into the site when you click that “renew” link, your ad will be renewed. If, on the other hand, clicking the link takes you to the login page, go ahead and log in. THEN CLICK THE LINK IN THE EMAIL AGAIN, and your ad will be renewed.
Yeah, I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what to do about the ads as well. I can edit them, but that doesn’t seem to help them get approval. One got approved somehow, but the others say they are inactive (only me and an admin can see them), and I don’t know how to activate them.
I renewed your ads for you. Please if you (or anyone else) have ads that are disabled/expired, and that you want enabled, contact me and I will take care of it. I’m still figuring out this system, which is a bit complicated because some issues seem to be temporary (due to the transition) and others may not be. Looking at your ads, I think the issue was that they expired before we shut the old site down for migration. It appears the only way for non-admin users to renew ads is to click the “renew” link in the email that gets sent to you 3 days before expiration. Since your ads were already expired, those emails were not sent.
Clay can also help you recover your PMs, if you can’t find them in the new subfolders (go to Messages -> Sent to see if they are there, first).

Probably not. Indefinite editing of posts was actually not intentional but a limitation of the software, on our prior forum.
You can still edit posts for 5 minutes after you post them, to fix errors, typos, etc. If you like, I can extend this a little bit, but not for too long.

COOL! Are they the 4mm size like the PYO Flying Wolf?
I’m actually not sure! It’s hard to measure them once they are glued in. Hmm!
