Well, if Austria doesn’t have much then Switzerland can’t feel too left-out. We’re all hoping for a miracle snow by next weekend, but fat chance…
Oh, you’re a beginner snowboarder? You should come here when we actually get snow, because I’m only in my fourth season too. Lucked out one winter when I wrecked my arm. How much snow did Austria have?

Send them over here! I have not eaten!!
Ah, look who’s back. Your vacation isn’t already over, is it?
Thanks for that, SPark, especially the Poad info. You didn’t perchance get any pictures of weird test colorings?
She uses normal sized bread pans, yes, and I think that recipe makes two loaves. Hope you like it! Ad lib the rum if you want rum fruit cake. Mom never really looks at the amounts. She puts in whatever she feels is right.
Good rendering of a very teenage-looking dragon’s face. I’m not used to see such “fingery” claws on a dragon. I think I miss the opposable claws, but I’m not sure if Orientals have those.
Okay, Mimi, I got the recipe. She took it from the old Fanny Farmer cookbook and modified the fruit ingredients:
Cover 1 lb. of mixed candied fruit, cut small, with boiling water, let stand 2 hrs. and drain.
3/4 cup dried currants
1/2 cup candied citron
1/2 cup candied pineapple
4 oz. candied cherries
1.5 cups chopped pecans
(Vary as you will. The amount of fruit doesn’t make a difference.)Set oven at 325° and line the pans with aluminum foil.
Sift together:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp mace
1/4 tsp ground clovesBeat together:
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp lemon extractStir in:
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup milkMix it all together and bake for 1.25 hours.
And that’s that. It doesn’t keep forever either. We always eat it in a flash, and if we didn’t, it would actually go bad. 😀
Sam is a good-looking griff, though it would help to see the antiquing on the lion part. I was thinking about doing a bald eagle, but I couldn’t think of any decent, fitting coloring for the lion half. It’s hard to fit anything to brown and white without making the critter basically unicolor.
I like the brightness. It stands out from the natural colorings of birds and cats. How much more work until he’s done?
Yikes. I need to get a peacock OW! Thanks for the info, Bella.
You did a really great job on those, Lady. They harmonize nicely with each other, too. I like!
Me too, Sunhawk. I can sympathize with you.
More PYOs, drag0n? Griffs, dragons or Kirin? I can’t wait to see them! Yours are always so beautiful.
The rainbow mother used to be available from Grandio for $89. I so should have jumped at that.
Was the Spectral ever available from somewhere for less than $130? I’ve seen a few cheaper prices than Grandio’s and Armik’s $130, but once you add shipping it evened out or was more.
That’s a good question why it costs more than the male. I never thought about that. That’s good to know. So far I’ve used superglue on all my dragons’ injuries, and it holds excellently and dries fast.
