Wow, that’s a lot of black. A little while ago I asked for the Silver emperor as a Christmas present, because I loved the way the high-contrast silver in the store photo looked. But the one that’s pictured here looks quite a bit different from the store photo… I’m not sure I’d want mine to look like that.
Is there any possibility another batch will be made, maybe without a signature/COA? This is my favorite white dragon but I missed out on the first batch.
Welcome! I just recently started collecting Windstones/joined the forum too. When I started collecting, I told myself “Only get your absolute favorites” but… Each dragon looks so good in multiple colors, it’s pretty hard to just pick one! Oh well, I’m just gonna take it one dragon at a time…
I like the Griffons a lot too. I’d like to own the griffon family someday but I’m not in love with the production colors currently being offered for them. Maybe I’ll be collecting long enough to see a new color being produced for them, who knows…
Thanks for the welcome everyone! And yes, I’m finding out just how addictive Windstones really are… I was going to wait until after Christmas to buy another dragon, but then the online store Headlines sent me a 20% off coupon. I impulse bought a Ruby mother from them, I hope I don’t regret it. 🙂
Here’s my argument for making Barn Swallow a production color. I’ve loved to collect statues of dragons since I was little, but asides from my Peacock Young dragon I never got into collecting windstones. Then a little while ago I was browsing ebay and came across the Barn Swallow Rising Spectral. I was so enamored with it that I immediately went and looked up this ‘Windstone Editions’ thing. I was blown away by the variety and quality of the work I saw, and after thinking about it for a bit, I decided that I’d like to start collecting. Earlier this week I received my Black Gold lap dragon and love it so much. I can’t wait to get another one.
So if it weren’t for the Barn Swallow color, I might not have looked up Windstone Editions. I really like all the other Barn Swallow test paints that have been made, and would be thrilled to see it become a production/LP color.
