If they make you happy, that is all that matters! You have a collection that will all fit on one shelf for you to enjoy, not kept in boxes or scattered all over the house as sometimes happens. Arranging display space for a large collection of Windstones can take a LOT of money and effort, so there are advantages to having just a few pieces. 🙂

I hope so! It seems I am in love with all the “impossible to find” ones though! Bad luck! I am also trying to be good and not get ALL of the same sculpt, we don’t have a ton of room- they have a very nice shelf in the bedroom and my beloveds live in his office- so we’re limited on what we can get. That and my unfortunate love for OOAK dragons. D:

Awww, I think that’s a great collection! 🙂 I had a white male dragon, a baby white unicorn, and a Male Kirin as my only windstones for a number of years when I was in college! Gotta start somewhere and if it makes you happy, that’s what matters! 😀 The male kirin I got from a mismarked auction (marked as a baby kirin by mistake back in early days of ebay.

AGREED! After I moved, I lost a lot of display space (my wall shelf, my giant desk I had to leave behind) and now about 10 or so of my pretties have been in their boxes hidden away since the summer 🙁 My more favorite ones I opened up and set them around my bedroom, but they aren’t displayed, just hanging out until I can find a spot for a new book case or find a clever way to display them.

In March 2010 I had one Windstone – a hatching tortoise that I had for a long time. Then I decided to look for a hatching protoceratops … I just did a quick count and I have over acquired over 150 Windstones in less than three years (an average of more than one per week)! Too many for me to list here. Fortunately most are small, but display and storing the boxes is still a headache. If you are new to all this – be careful! Windstones sneak up on you!
