Adding to a personal list of unfortunate recent events…you know it’s bad when the oil light turns on as your driving around, but you know it’s REALLY bad when the engine light turns on soon after! The repair shop said if I had driven my car around any longer the engine would have been destroyed. Thankfully, I was close to home when this happened. Repair cost is terribly high, but I certainly could not afford another car payment right now. So, it’s fixable and a blessing it’s not worse. It’s not the fanciest car, but I love my little car and I’m thankful to have one.
LOL! The Otter looks so CUTE! You might want to add a blurb on your Etsy page that they can be a custom order with or without a loop to be a pendant or shelf-sitter. That way you don’t need to keep a stock of them but do them on a custom order basis.
Thanks again, Ela_Hara! I’ll mention the option in the decription when listing little sculpts! My person preference is to make them shelf-sitters, but if someone wanted a charm made out of it, I’d oblige.
Here’s two figures that are about done. I’m still learning about ploymer clay, but learning quickly I think. The white parts of the orca got a little mixed with the black clay. It wasn’t intentional. Honestly, I feel like that “dirty” white clay looks more natural anyway.
Comic kitty!
I don’t know when I’ll be listing these two because I have more little animals to paint. If anyone is interested in anything I post here and I haven’t put it in my Etsy shop yet, you’re welcome to PM me if interested in purchasing.
Thank you for the compliments. I now have these listed in my Etsy shop and I’ve added the link to my shop in my signature below. Thanks Ela_Hara for the tip!
Here’s a wip preview of what I’m working on next. I want to make a bunch of tiny animals, but I can’t decide if I want to make charms out of them or leave them as tiny shelf sitting figurines. What do you think? I can’t help but call the cat figurine, “puff cat”. It just sticks. 😂
Thanks for the tip Ela_Hara. I will do shortly. 😉
Here’s some more things, tiny charms and figurines, going in my shop soon. Forgive me for the quality of these picture. The only camera I have at the moment is my cell camera.
Wow! They’re amazing! I wonder how long it takes the artist to make these? There’s so many intricate details.
So sorry for your loss, Bodine. Dogs are amazing creatures. Their only flaw is they can’t stay with us long. Having a dog teaches us how to be kind. Losing one teaches us how to be strong. Keep him in your heart and he will always be with you.
Thanks Kim, Bodine, and Ela_Hara! I’ve opened up an Etsy shop called, DragonsWingDesigns, and I plan to make and stock more sculptures over the next few months. I’m planning on sculpting the new HTTYD lightfury dragon and maybe Toothless as well. Here’s my shop for the curious souls. 🙂

Thank goodness you’re okay, Bodine. That sounded like a scary situation. Thankfully, it was nothing serious. Try to get enough rest.
Groot is wonderful- you captured him perfectly! I like the little bit of lean, it makes him appear as if he’s looking curiously at something. I repeat, you have a future as a sculptor if you want to continue. Maybe learn how to cast, so you can sell copies on Etsy?
Thank you! I really appreciate your compliment and I actually feel like an artist now having read the positive feedback from everyone. 😁 I’d love to get something going with making sculptures and castings, as you suggested, and even setting up at craft shows in the future. I hope I can make this a career someday. For now, I think I’ll have to figure out offering commissions and make a bunch of ooak pieces to raise funds for materials.
Honestly, I don’t know the process for taking commissions or even where to offer them. Anyone have any ideas? Esty, perhaps?
Landipan: Thank you for your compliment as well!
Also, I added a base to Groot. He was a bit top-heavy and needed a bit more stability. If anyone is interested in him, please feel free to contact me. I’ll be listing him for sale in the non-windstone fleamarket section.
Thanks for your compliments everyone. It’s encouraging to read. Finishing this meant a lot to me since it’s been a year since I lost her. It’s still fresh and difficult to deal with.
I plan to sculpt more things in the future. A family member threw down a challenge for me to sculpt baby Groot. Lol! So, here he is unpainted and painted. His posture is a bit off because he’s leaning forward, but I think it turned out for the most part.
Well, this took way too long to finish. It was emotionally difficult to work on, but here she is. I painted her with the fur she had when she was younger.
Uhg, went to the doctor yesterday for my ear issues. I’ve had extra fluid in my ears for the past year and found out I’ll need to see a specialist and likely have tubes put into my eaedrums so they can drain. However, I can’t afford a specialist and I’m not insured due to the high cost. So, I don’t know what to do. Has anyone else dealt with this particular health issue before? They say my ear’s “plumbing” is out of sorts. There’s always the risk of slowly going deaf from the excess fluid causing damage.
Is there a way to logout when using a mobile phone? I don’t see the “logout”. Am I missing it?
I a spam message going by the username keran gerni. The PM was still in my in messages. I deleted it.
Beautiful and super cute! I loved seeing the wip pics turn into this lovely finished piece. Also love all the fine details and the color choices. This piece was already gorgeous when it was half finished. Lol
