LOL kay!
Still wish I knew why that’s stopped working though. 😛
February 19, 2016 at 2:15 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #942243OK this is driving me absolutely insane. The forum won’t obey resize commands in the HTML code. On top of that, it puts an automatic break after each image posted, preventing me from putting more than one image on the same line even though the total width doesn’t exceed 700 pixels. So a line that’s coded to look like this:
[image] [image] [image]….looks like this:
[image][image]
And that simply won’t do because I’d like to put up some new pieces without creating a scroll-fest! Any suggestions?
I wonder if the advances in 3D printing and the increased availability/lowering prices of the equipment might open up a whole new world for this sort of thing. 🙂
That would be awesome! There IS a company that makes customizable miniatures using 3D printing (Hero Forge). A friend of mine got a custom miniature and they’ve asked me to paint it. I’ve discovered that it is going to be an absolute pain in the rear to paint. 3D printing apparently doesn’t create nice smooth surfaces. -sighs- The miniatures surface looks like it’s actually a super small topographic map. It’s a shame really. The minis aren’t good for painting with washes, but the fact that you can customize them so much makes up for it if you don’t care about painting them that way.
When they refine the technology I hope it makes that kind of problem go away.
I know exactly what you’re talking about! I have a couple 3D printed pieces that an old coworker gave to me. His printer was a basic starter model so I wasn’t sure if there are industrial/professional models out there that minimize this issue. Maybe someday…
It’s easy to forget to forward feedback as well. I have positive feedback but it’s several years old and I’ve had….probably a hundred good transactions on the forum since then, buying/selling/trading. I tend to be lazy about it too since the people I trade with regularly are really trusted and also have good feedback already. Never hurts to have more though! I’m going to start being more proactive about feedback! 🙂

February 11, 2016 at 3:07 am in reply to: color shift GB baby kirin show off thread – 02/10/2016 #941571I got one! Was this the longest takedown caused by GBs yet?
Who needs 4Chan when we can just DDoS ourselves O_o
Oh wow! Those are really nice ones. If you collect those I’m even more flattered you liked my Amethyst tree. 😀
Glad to see I’m not the only one with a box hoarding problem! My family teases me so much, haha.
I used to collect a lot more things but now it’s pretty much just Windstones. I do have some art stored away from comic artists I like, and 4 original animated cels. One of Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and three from the unfinished Richard Williams film The Thief and the Cobbler. Plus some gems, minerals, and fossils. I try to resist the urge to collect though…clearing out some old things and having more space around has left a lot more room for creativity and making my own art again. <3
Oh, lollllll I put away my slippers and remembered my closet full of Frye boots and shoes. Yahhhh I definitely collect those!
i used to be really into cars when i was a bit younger. had a ’96 GT mustang in high school that was pretty tricked out. then i got older and my tastes changed a bit and now i drive an ’07 mini cooper s. i looooove it. but its a pain in the neck getting my daughter in her car seat. common sense would tell me to get a bigger car, but yes, i am nuts.
Another Mini owner! I have a 2011 Clubman and I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it. Best car ever, especially for a crowded city like San Diego. Not an S though! Next time!
Very nice kirins, and the back view is particularly cute. It looks more like a can-can than a conga. 🙂
Haha! It does! Very nice conga Angelika. 🙂
February 3, 2016 at 12:55 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #941092Aw thank you everyone! I have really enjoyed making these and want to keep at it and keep improving. The petals are made with several coats of nail enamel. 🙂
Ahh! Do you have new pics? 😀
Wow Chris, your fantasy baby uni’s are to die for. i miss having fantasy babies. had to sell most of mine, although my last one i traded for a grail piece so it was worth it hahaha. I am looking for the day when i will have one again though. grate collections!
Thank you! Haha I know exactly that feel, I just sold one of my dearest GBY Unis for the funds for a grail piece myself and I can’t WAIT for her to arrive.!
Gorgeous unis, Chrisherself!
<3
Oh, wow, Chrisherself, I *love* your Young Oriental Conga! ♥ I’m a sucker for color-fades and rainbow-lineups. 🙂
Me too me too! The Lap lineup was to die for!
Chris, is that Tangerine I see near the front end? It looks like her! If so, I’m happy to see her with all her siblings!!
The orange appy? She was an ebay uni that I traded for.
Chrisherself, I was totally thinking of your Fledgling collection! I was wondering if it would make an appearance on this thread! And I see you still have my most favourite Fledgling of all time (third girl in, closest to where you’re standing to take the picture)
Aw thank you! That’s my Summer Pearl Fledge. Every time I get her out to consider selling her she goes right back in the case, haha! I just love her delicate colors, she’s definitely a treasure.
Ooh, Chrisherself, you have Dusk! She’s always been one of my favorites 🙂 Beautiful collection!
Thank you!! Mine too for sure. I waited and waited and waited for a chance to give her a home and the wait was worth it. <3

LOL maybe shouldn't have posted all my pics up right before a super busy few days and not be able to respond till way late XD
Does anyone remember who had their Curlie collection in a fancy glass cake dome? That was my absolute favorite way I’ve ever seen a Curlie collection displayed, they looked like macarons!
What a gorgeous, regal boy! And look at all those beautiful babies. <3 Thanks for sharing that poem, it's lovely. 🙂
Awwwww, Falcoff that is just the sweetest!!!
I hope she has an optimal recovery! And you’re a sweet daughter to be rallying support for her. 🙂 Did she make her hat/shawl? It looks hand knitted and I really like the colors!
