He’s coming along SO NICELY from all the Facebook updates! I cannot wait!
PM sent!
Of course you can message me! I know you already did on FB but just to reiterate <3
After many delays, #122 has debuted! This lovely little tiger princess is painted in tropical sunset colors. The camera washes her out a bit; her “white” areas have much more pastel peach/pink to them.
I adore her, but if she’s your favorite, I’d be willing to trade for the right pony. #100 and #64 really caught my eye, and overall I’m a bit more partial to the zebra pattern vs. the tiger.
For now, she’s on my shelf lording over her new domain.
I was incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Melody as my PYO swap painter, and I’m still reeling from the beauty of this little guy. Snerl wasn’t in production yet when we selected our PYO choices, but Melody was kind enough to guess I’d love one and boy was she right! My prompt was pretty open (safari prints, natural bird colors, or Halloween fun) and Melody’s intuition was spot on. I don’t have a tiger yet in my collection, teal eyes are my favorite, and I’ve always adored the blue-to-purple colorshift paint for accents. I am beyond lucky. Thank you so much, Ms. Melody!!
Now he just needs a name…
Updated from aaaaages ago!
1) Bad Cat Gargoyle (bat winged cat gargoyle)
2) Hippogriff Candle Holder
3) Ocelot male griffin
4) Blue merle gothic unicorn
5) Male Unicorn in original black or a safari printOctober 14, 2022 at 8:36 am in reply to: Class pics of the African wild dog Hippogriff mothers #1663684Monday is so far awaaaay.
Melody, I am absolutely in love! Both with these and the system. Since you started working on the hippomama, I was excited about wanting one and terrified I’d miss out. But I didn’t have to worry at all this time! Thank you thank you thank you.
I am so in love with this new system. The cost is known in advance so people can plan to save or skip; the designs CAN be more focused if Ms. Melody chooses so people can wait for one they know they like; there is a system in place so the site doesn’t have frustrating crashes; the purchasing system is streamlined so Ms. Susie doesn’t have a mess to deal with afterwards… Bravo, Windstone Team!
I am soooo excited for this one!
One tiny squeek on the Hippo subject, though… I just.. am drooling over the ones that have a bird print upper body and a mammal lower. Might we see more of these?
From Melody’s Facebook page, posted early this morning (August 27). No idea when these will be available or how they will be sold.
Melody says, “Part horse, part lion, part eagle, and part African wild dog.”
From the comments – Melody says, “Here’s a different one from the front side.”
These ladies! I know they won’t be cheap but I’m definitely going to have to splurge. I was thinking I’d try a different color pattern but I’m too much of a sucker for AWDs, and no one can paint their patterning like Ms. Melody.
Those AWD Mamas are kiiiiiiillling me. I certainly hope there’s some sort of sign-up!
All signed up!
This was similar to a suggestion I had. If Melody painted a couple of examples (say… 5-10 different mama colors) and then did waitlist style like the grabbag for each color, people could “sign up” for the one they wanted. Then Melody would know how much of each was needed/which was most popular and paint accordingly. Not each one would be completely difference, but it could be more like with the Bantam clones with slight variations. And people would for sure be buying something they were happy with.
July 11, 2022 at 2:09 pm in reply to: Young Qi-Lin – Grab Bag Edition – Koi 2022 show off thread #1660190This system was an absolute dream! There was so a generous amount of time to get on the waitlist, and now a generous amount of time to order your piece. As long as the lists do not get too long for Melody to fill the orders, I feel like this is a perfect solution to the site-crashing product launches. Great job, Windstone team!
