Can we get more in the future (after having to purge the lot) or is this the only one we’re allowed to own for the rest of our lives?
I love Tenderfoot so much Pip! You did an awesome job! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone wanting a PYO <3
Thanks again. Much love.AHHHHH!!!! Look who just arrived! My sweet boy! Welcome home Tenderfoot! I want to hold him forever >.< Thank you so much Pipsxlch!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!! You did such a great job. Cameras don’t do him justice! He’s such a beautiful golden color. He practically glows! In the pictures it looks like the colors are kind of separated, but in real life everything blends together beautifully! Not to repeat myself, but…I LOVE HIM!!!! >.<
Lol, that’s ok, Bodine. I’m sure she’s very green in real life.
I bet she was a relief to paint after dealing with the first one 😉
It is kind of funny in that respect, I’ll admit.
I’m sorry Pegasi1978. If he said it was ok then he can shut up, as far as I’m concerned. Sorry if that’s overly harsh. I made a pretty extravagant purchase after debating about it for a while, and asking my ex if he thought it was ok. He agreed that it was extravagant and unnecessary, but said that if it was worth it to me then I should do it (I earned all the money after all). And then forever after that he gave me shit about it. So my fuse is pretty short on this issue.
Yeah, that looks more natural I think. Thanks Mimi <3
Thanks Suzanne-Marie. I’ll take all the hugs I can get.
And yes, the artists on this site are fantastic, and I am very grateful to be able to get such works of art. I’ve got a nice spot all picked out for them so I can see them from anywhere in my room.
Aw, are you stressing out? I’m sorry. I’d probably be stressed too though. I’m sure that took hours and hours and then to hear someone doesn’t like it would be enough to kill a person, lol.
No, it looks very good. The only thing I might say would be to make the black areas a bit larger on the neck? It looks kinda more white than black. On the actual chickens the white and black kinda make stripes, but if I’m interpreting what you did correctly, it looks like you did white at the top and black on the bottom for each feather, and it’s probably just that the feathers just don’t all line up on the sculpture itself. (That is a really painstaking technique, and I applaud you for taking the time and effort to do it). If I look closely at the one Jennifer did (pg 2 of the thread) I think she just painted lines over the feathers, regardless of where they actually ended/began. No offense to her or you of course. I might just not be able to see well enough on either picture. I really like what both of you guys did.
I love her so much, Michelle, and she doesn’t even have a face yet, lol. You’re doing a fabulous job!
Did you learn some good chicken info, Ryl?
I love him already. You gave him such a cute little face. I like the lighter chest. Very pretty. Thanks again for painting him for me. That was really nice of you. <3
I agree with you, the bigger pupils are way nicer.
I guess technically my “first” was a family of old white unicorns from ebay. Dad, mom, teenager and baby. (I don’t think they were listed as Windstones. Just as unicorns) I got them and they were damaged though, so I sold them again, but I traced them back to the Windstone Editions website (real detective here, I know :P) and I discovered the glory that is Windstone. The first Windstone I knowingly bought was a teal eyed copper patina fledgie from the website store. Still have her. <3
Sorry for your loss, Bodancia. Condolences to your sister and her/your family.
