Snowmobiles are a riot! Unless…You fall through a particularly deep drift and have to wait for spring to come thaw the snow so you can take it home. XD

Winters are bad enough here that motorcycles and trikes are seasonal vehicles. Definitely a ‘for fun’ ride in the summer and not a reliable mode of transport otherwise.
In Northern Illinois we have some pretty die hard bikers. They will ride in rain that is coming in sideways, and slush if it is warm enough to stand on their skin. Me, a bike ride is something you do on a day that is atleast 70 degrees F. I’m a wuss. 😳Ok, here is Raider’s #2. He is in the drying cabinet and I will be sending out a message to the person who commissioned him this evening after I cook supper.
I have been uber busy getting ready for the county fair coming up next week. I work all 6 days this year. But, I get in the gate for free this way, and who doesn’t have some sort of fair food they just love? Mmm, funnel cakes, and philly cheese steaks! LOL
I will leave the first pic up for a couple days then when I delete it out of the thread, I will put up a link to my Facebook where it is at. 😀
After sending him an email to his actual email account he responded…Only took me 3 tries and him over 24 hours. If I keep the corset he has offered to refund 20% of the price to my paypal. If I send it back, I get a refund minus the 20$ in shipping (I have to pay to ship it back too!).
I think I will keep it…Get my $11.05 back and take that 11 bucks and add it to the other monies in my acct. 😉As I said DM, it seems that the first couple go pretty smoothly. It’s what comes after I wouldn’t want to deal with again. :negative:
Just if you do buy one, I have found his measurements to be spot on for the corsets, so make sure you measure yourself. The hassle of returning it, would be a pain in the butt I am afraid. I got 4 corsets from him (for less than $150)…So, while upset, I can live with it. Besides, I plan to go to the fabric store this weekend (50% off sale! yay!) and spend my $20 I would have spent shipping them back to buy some very nice velvet and satin, and finish the job he started and didn’t finish (Scott’s idea, after 2 hours of trying to calm me down, he simply asked, “Why don’t you do something with it to make it even better than he could have for that $20?). The ideas I have should work well, and who’s to say, another unsatisfied customer won’t eventually put something up for sale on ebay themselves that is just my size that is something I wanted from him. I would buy from another seller on there selling a corset by him. 😉 I may send money to someone else somewhere along the line to get me something from him. Seems mostly that he is good with first time customers, but not so good with the repeats? I don’t know, I have tried 3 times to contact him, even through his OWN email, and still have no response. 😕 So rather than to fight with him and his 3 day return policy…I will just make the corset into something else. Maybe, I will make it more “vampire” styled. 8)
I do have a vindictive side, and part of me wants so badly to make it into something so different, but yet leave the main body the same, and then send pics to him…But my luck he will take the “new form” and make some just like it. 🙄 Of all things, I hate most being taken advantage of. I just rather it would have been a broken Windstone over this. But, if I can fix a shattered Windstone, I can fix this! 😀
And I have done alot of searching for info on how to make corsets, materials needed, and whatnot. But, I have great news! I am rounding the corner on the Raider’s Griffin #2, he should be done and clear coated tomorrow! Honeslty, if I don’t see another Radier’s logo in a year or more, thank God (When does football season start? 😮 )! How about something easy…Like the Bears? The 49er’s? Ummmm Green Bay? LOL That logo has got to be one of the hardest besides the Jag’s… 🙄 Definitely challenging. And I think I have the knots for the fire keeper down so I can get them on semi-straight and he will be ready to go. Scott has been back to work for a week now, so I have had more painting time. I am sincerely sorry to people on my list, and how long it is taking, but I promise to make them all worth the wait for everyone! I do have new pieces out and based for painting, but haven’t started on them until I get these guys done! Maybe if I get a few out the door, it will help me to not feel so stressed out. 😕
Plus my son, whom is 17, that I gave up for adoption, may be coming to visit me this summer…He and Glen are planning something. It’s still up in the air. I am so nervous…What if he asks me why I did what I did? Only thing I can do is tell the truth and hope he understands. Atleast it wasn’t because I did drugs, or drank too much, or just didn’t want him…*sighs* I am so stressed out right now…..
I will try my best to post pics tomorrow night of the Griffin, and hope to finish the knots by the weekend. Again, I am really sorry for making anyone wait for their pieces. 🙁Mmmm…very lovely Drag0n! So all you Ren fair goers, do you have any advice for me? I want to use it for formal-ish wear and for Halloween. I am working towards, mellowed Goth vampire, witch type thing for Halloween. Hence my recent boot purchase. (I am still trying to get the hang of walking up stairs with 5.75 inch soles on my feet! 🙄 )

Thanks for spending more of my money!!!HAHAHA! Ok…Yeah, I had a couple good experiences with Von Lancelot…And one really bad one. I love the coat, and I got a Tiger Velvet one like I wanted (Minus the buttons for the friggin’ sleeves…Which I AM GOING TO ADD MYSELF! Because I can, and I am that damn good. LOL) and of course the lovely red corset that I have wanted for over a year. I was sent the wrong red corset…It is the same material, looks the same in the front, but is so wrong in the back, I could cry. (Yes, actually I did sob for a good 15 minutes after I saw it was totally the wrong corset! 😥 ) Then I got completely flippin’ mad. But I kept my anger in check, and went to toolhause and looked up his feedbacks…ALL of the negatives. Which lately are many! 🙄 I’m talking so lately, that it was after I won the blue and gold corset…(He had over 25 feedbacks come in just on the 15th of June alone! Not all negative, as I posted a short comment of the tiger one which I can fix easily for around $5 for the buttons I will need.) Big whoop! Beats the $20 (EXTRA) in shipping fees I’d have had to pay to get it fixed…*sigh* Not to mention the other $20 to send the red one back.
So, I am gonna fix his little red wagon, and take his lovely work, and add to it to make it what I want…Only BETTER! Because I am not paying to send back that fooled corset only to have him perchance send me ANOTHER incorrect item. Seems by his feedback he is more apt to give me the runaround until time expires to send it back to him anyways. (3 days in the return policy…Yeah, like that isn’t a kick in the teeth when he won’t answer you back!)
So, after 3 lovely transactions, I have a hell of a bad one this time around. I think I am done with buying from him. Too bad, as I spent all my WE money on corsets from him…Good for him, bad for me seems anyway. I was looking into 3 more corsets from him too. His loss, my gain I guess. He hasn’t responded yet, and I don’t think I trust him to make it “right”. The thing I am most disturbed by, is that he came online and left me a pos feedback for my feedback to him on the one corset, but didn’t reply to my message…I sent another. Still no reply, and I know it is midday there in China…Or wherever he is he had plenty of time to check those messages, and a copy goes to his ebay too. So, too bad…I have a few to eh hem…Do what I’d like to do with them…And, I will. *evil grin as she looks towards the ceiling and winks at her Seamstress Grandmother in a conspiring way*
So to everyone whom, has bought from him since i bragged him up, or planned to…Be aware of what happened to me. Also, I think what chapped my ass the most was that I have NEVER been screwed by anyone on ebay in 8 years til now (And it’s not like my ass isn’t busy enough without having to deal with this $h1t!)…Over 125 items/auctions bought or won there…and now…*throws hands up* Guess I need to limit my seller to the 100% category instead the 98% and up… 😡I sure wish I could…But alas, since the last I talked to you, I have spent all that I had saved up. 😳 (I am horrible with my stash…I get in a spending nature and away it goes!) Although Scott is going to let me make a 1700’s Gentleman’s Frock Coat and long vest (Ok, so I bought a copy of Casanova on DVD…I forgot how in love I was with the outfits of that time period! Now, let’s see THAT clothing retro like the 70’s and 80’s have!) once we get ahead a bit…And I get caught up with other things more pressing. 😉 (Hence the reason for me not being on much. 🙁 )
