I know! I was really surprised at how easy it actually was to walk around in them. If Scott hadn’t gone out in the other room to pout, and gave me crap all afternoon I would have worn them all day! The only problem with Demonia is they don’t do half sizes, so if you’re a 9.5 like me, you need to order 10’s. But, the nice part is they fit wide feet, and I could actually put some gel insoles in them for added comfort. But really the insoles aren’t gonna be necessary. 😀 *I am so excited* I love shoes!
One thing though…I have issues with my 3 inch plats on stairs…I haven’t even bothered to tackle the stairs in these! 😆
Abby is so cute! (But, there is NO FREAKING WAY I’m getting the plaid mini-skirt! 😮 )

These are what I got…Abby actually wore the Stacks in one show, but I found one pair of those and someone beat me to them! 😡 I figure if I enjoy these as much as I think I will, I will end up with another pair. 😳

WC – I concur, I think Melody should find time to sculpt a simple crystal ball/marble stand in maybe two sizes lol The stars and rune symbols or zodiac symbols would be perfect with one or two glittering crystals. A simple piece of felt in the depression would probably be enough to protect the sculpt, too. The possibilities are ENDLESS! It’s a great idea – and I saw your spheres, nice nice nice! Also, Iamortifille – love your marble collection. I am hooked on both, the spheres and the marbles and particularly like implosion marbles! We have had to become very creative with stands, and for small marbles I like to use hematite rings or catseye rings and the larger spheres if I don’t get actual stands, there are many diffuser stands that work great and add variety. BUT a Windstone Stand would be SUPREME! 🙂

I got creative enough to use a hospital “cough medicine” sized cc measuring cup. A 2tbs one, with the bottom half cut off. Works great for spheres 3.5 inches and smaller. 😉 Although, I will hit a few garage sales this summer and look around for stands, or things I can use as stands. 😀

Since I deployed late, I know exactly how you feel about wanting to be with your unit. Being sent home has absolutely NOTHING to do with you not being ‘good enough.’ The command has an obligation to bring every Soldier home in the best possible condition. If the mission and optempo allows for you to go home, then they will take your health into consideration and do whats best for you. Leadership cannot take risks with Soldiers health and being ‘high risk’ just means that because of the faint, you have the potential to get hurt in more situations than the average bear. Just think about this: What if one of my troops passed out and no cause could be found? Could I put him 10 feet above the ground on an aircraft? What if he fell off and got hurt? What if he fell off and DIED?? Could I go to my leadership and that Soldiers’ family and tell them I did everything I could to prevent him from getting hurt? No. That is all your command is trying to do. Keep you safe. They cant put you in a situation that is more dangerous than necessary. And the Chaplain has an obligation to go to the command with situations like yours because it affects others. Thats all, girl. You did more than 98% of America just by volunteering for the Army during combat and coming out here.

    AMEN!!! 🙂

LOL!!! I have been on a shoe buying kick lately and Paul (my hubby) says he doesnt like them because the heels are so tall. Must be a guy thing. 😆

Does it make him shorter than you? XD

No, I have been in love with Abby shoes from NCIS. SO I did a little research and found 3 or 4 pairs she wears I really like. I wanted the ones with big metal plates, but I dcided to go for the Demonia Wave #803. They have a 5.75 inch platform. They lace and zip. I put them on, thinking how will I ever walk in these!!!??? It was a blast! It wasn’t much different than walking in tennis shoes. I can’t wait to wear them out into public!
I got the ones I did because, well, I wanted them to also fit UNDER my pant legs. I think I got rid of my stretch jeans from Highschool years ago! 😈

Diets are really the devil’s handiwork. Unless you are with a “class” style where they keep track of everything you eat, and you can’t get away from big brother’s eyes.
In August of 2000 I weighed in at 230lbs. I hated having my pic taken at family functions, and who doesn’t want pics when you’re at Christmas? NO ONE! I wore a size 18 in jeans (Long before they began putting the 2% spandex in the hipster jeans.) and when I graduated highschool I weighed 115, and wore a size 5. I have always had wide shoulders, but a smaller waist.
Currently I weigh 150-155 with fluctuations up and down between those numbers. I weigh every day before showering, and never miss a day. I don’t eat perfectly, as I love my soda!!! I can drink diet, but prefer regular and fully leaded. I am a Dr. Pepper fanatic! I drink 3 or 4 a day. Caffeine and sugar are my enemies.
I have however, in the past few months, dropped from 165-170 to the 150-155, simply by changing my diet a small bit.
I prefer chicken and fish. I cook them in many ways, even skin on. Once a week I eat beef, usually a rib eye, and I don’t throw away anything from that steak. I stopped eating fried foods. Once in a while I allow myslf an egg roll, or some rangoons, but otherwise, I really don’t miss it. Fires, yeah, I miss those once in a while but I do like oven fries, so that makes up for it. 🙂 I do eat pastas and rice, but I limit myself on it. I eat breakfast around 3 hours after waking, and I eat supper 4 hours prior to bed time. Since unless it’s up at 7am everyday for school, hours of waking and retiring fluctuate widely. So, I shoot for certain amount of hours. Myself, I do not wake up hungry and it takes me a while to get hungry. 😕 Don’t know why. I do have snacks during the day, but most consist of say a slice of cheese and maybe a few carrot sticks or something of the sort.
I guess what I am trying to say, is each person’s body works so differently than anothers, that what works for some might not work for others. I met a woman who ate nothing but hard candies for a month. She was very mobile, and lost weight. I would be a walking pimple and 300lbs. I already know this from when I was young. I also was an emotional eater too at the heaviest times. I try not to do that now. I go for a walk instead. No food on the sidewalk here. 😉

I’m not thinking completely hollow…Dipped out maybe. I also meant balls say up to 5lbs…Not elephantine ones! 😈 Most of my own are under that weight, and I wouldn’t put something really heavy on one.

No, sorta like what Lamort has under hers, but with a touch of “Melody” thrown at ’em. 😀 That would be so cool! The stars and runes sound cool! Then they would really match with the Wizards!!! 🙂 Maybe they could be something simple that looks like swirling cloth, and have different colors with gold or silver stars and runes here and there.

    I’m going to try a “Topsy-turvy”tomatoe plant this fall.Anybody has one?Works well?

Just use a 5 gallon bucket with holes in it. They’re stronger. Tomatoes, cukes, strawberries and peppers work well believe it or not. 😉
That’s what dad does. 5 gallon pickle buckets. They do work well!

I have a 15×25 ft garden. This is my second year, and I probably put in about $150 to start it up last year. That however includes chicken wire, 2×2″x8′ stakes to put it up with, and all the seeds. I found I can grow squash and cucumbers well, and this year I am putting another $50 into it by topping the fence with 2×2″s, and about $30 to $40in seeds. This year I will be growing the cucumbers right to the fence along with the squash (Also conserves space). I am also trying corn this year, bi-color ofcourse. 😉 I can feed my family on frozen green beans and snow peas through the whole winter. I also have pretty good luck with potatoes and beets. Last year I planted 4 tomato plants and couldn’t keep up with their fruit production, so I am going for 2 this year(I tried canning them like Gramma did, but they smelled so bad… 😳 ). 8) I don’t really have a problem with any type of rodents…I think they don’t like the chicken wire too much. 😈
I think it is worth the time, and I spend about an hour a day once harvest comes picking. Then about 2 hours cutting, cleaning, blanching and bagging. But I love fresh garden produce, and like everyone else has said, I know what goes into the garden… 😆 I also think the beans and peas actually make up for most of the cost. Since when you go to the store you pay a dollar a pound for frozen, and I can get up to 30 pounds of beans from one single 15ft row, that took me $1.50 to buy the seeds. My favorite are wax beans. 😀 (Now I’m in the mood for garden veggies! Schwan’s to the rescue!!! LOLZ)

Thanks WSC. Given what I usually see on the little track they go to most weekends, I thought this high contrast white on black with red accents would serious stand out (the rest of the car is black). But I guess they’re going to use stock flames or something from dad’s stock books. Nothing real custom like this. Their loss.

Bet a paycheck that when dad goes to print it out, that he’ll be calling me to the basement to help him.
I say, see if anyone else is interested in buying them from you…Even at the local track. Maybe if/when your dad and brother see the decals on the other car, they will think different of it all.
Hee hee…I’ve been able to give my dad flack for about the past 2 years now…I’m 37, I was a late bloomer to stand up to him. But I do have a good time giving it right back to him. 😉
