There is one in the gallery. I assume this is the same one that was stolen.

I am so sorry to hear about the theft! 🙁

I wanted to know what city/town you were in when it happened. The reason I ask is that we can also go to local pawn shops and see if anyone has tried to sell anything. I hope the rest of your holiday is much better. We’ll keep our eyes peeled. 😯

My local store has one, but I think the price on it was about $340. Not much savings there, especially when the peacock emp sitting next to it was like $275.

I want to, too, but I would feel like a jerk and i would never hear the end of it!!

Oh but SKI! Think of all the Windstones you could buy with an extra $3,000! You could probably finish off your collection completely 😉 or come close!

            $3000?

            Just an exaggeration.

Ahh! I thought you won the lotto or something.

Of course, this brings up a very interesting question. What is your ideal collection? You purchase and sell a few items all the time it seems. Is it a collection that will always be in flux or do you have a definite idea of which pieces you want to have? Really curious! 😉 I know with Windstone coming out with new things all the time I would be wary of saying my collection could ever be complete, but then again, my finances can only go so far. So then it is a decision of which pieces to give up so I can get new ones!

I saw that auction and was wondering the same thing. Anyone else keep their bad Windstone creatures in cages?

when I first saw the dragons….it was in wicks n sticks and they had an emporer hanging from the ceiling in a huge wicker cage with greenery and things….it looked so cool….but that’s the only other time I’ve seen on in a cage

Awwwh! I bet that did look cool. I like to keep my Windstones free (but right now they are in boxes), or at least on leashes if they have a tendency to walk away. 😆

I’ve never used any kind of chatroom before. Do you happen to have a link that explains how to get AIM set up?

the forum is really enough chat for me….other than that….people can get my yahoo….or msn….if they really feel they need to talk to me…..I’m so not into all that AOL..AIM….blah blah stuff….

                but it’s a cool idea….hope you guys have fun….

I have to agree. I already spend 1-2 hours looking up all the posts per day (give or take). A chatroom would be nice, but only if it was attached to the Forum. Using AIM and the other stuff is just an extra hassel. You could burn many additional hours using those things. But to each their own – knock yourselves out. 😉

Do you need to (or can you) use masking fluid on the gold horns of the PYO kirins and unicorns (coming soon – I hope)?

The only problem with paypal is that if you don’t file within 4 weeks of payment (I think that is still the policy) they don’t worry about it.(Which is why I love using credit cards with Paypal.) I hate that policy since they teamed up with Ebay since that is very unrealistic. Sometimes you don’t know you’ve been had until 6 weeks have past. Although, in this case you can politely say that if you don’t hear from them by Wednesday that you will start the complaint process. This usually gets a response. If not, come Wednesday do what you have to do.

Stupid question time! I am new to all this and I keep reading about people using “Pastels”. Are they a type of paint? The only pastels I know are small chalk-like sticks. Any info would be appreciated.

Another Texas boy! Nice to meet you. Welcome to the forum.

Actually, my son Ted is the only Texas boy in our family. I’m English (only a Brit would start a sentence with the horribly abused word “Actually”, so you can be pretty sure I’m telling the truth); Linda is… well, she’s American, but would fail the “Texas boy” label on almost all counts. All that aside, though, many thanks for the welcome.

This is waaayy off topic, but I love the British accent. Is it true that all Brits like to drink tea or is coffee becoming more popular?
