Don’t judge these guys by the photos. 🙂 I have the Grand, Mother and Baby unicorns in Jet Black and they are GORGEOUS!
The unicorn colt in Snow White is lovely too (and I usually don’t like blue eyes). He is a great “little brother” for Bodine’s “Peacock” unicorn. She looks like a teenager-with-tattoos version of the Snow White unicorns. I am considering getting a Snow White Male unicorn to play the role of her disapproving father. 😉
Would it be possible for you to post a picture of the Black Grand?
From the photo in the shop the hooves looked way too light silver for my taste. Also, like others said, colored jewels would have been a plus. I also know though, seeing Windstones in real lighting conditions can really change your like/dislike for a particular color scheme.
I have a mermaid sconce and used the same method as dandrusky13.
I’m worried about drywall and screws falling out, so I went to Home Depot and purchased a 50lb drywall insert/screw set (orange package). I put mine in parallel to the floor (no angles) and left about 1/4-1/2 inch of the screw out. It has been great (and flush with the wall) for over 5 years now.
Since the threads are open to the sconce finish there is some digging in (due to the weight) and it has caused some white gypsum to show through. I consider it a non-issue, since it not seen and is not excessive.

In the past I have seen sellers post only 1 Windstone pic, to show what the item originally looked like at auction since different lighting can show off different colors of the piece.
I always thought this was ok (with Windstones’ permission) as long as they also added their own pics. The wording on this auction though, is misleading. I did a double take as well when I first saw this auction.
I am curious what the official policy will be for this.

You might want to re-size the pics using Paint (in Microsoft “Accessories”). I find it works great for sizing for the forum. You might initially need to re-size to 30% (and repeat to 50%) but it will make the pics fit without falling off the screen.

Like others, the Secret Keepers will always be out of my pocketbook’s range, but they are sure are beautiful – in all colors – to look at. Congrats to anyone who can get one.

I agree with Dragonfeathers. I am one of the offenders since I bumped my sale thread after posting on the weekend only to find it near the bottom. I wanted people to see it at the beginning of the week and didn’t think one or two bumps as a rulebreaker over a week or two. I also wasn’t aware of the 10 day rule. Sorry about that, it wasn’t meant to be offensive to anyone.
