I would love to see a sabertooth (hatching or otherwise). With your talent at the flions and flapcats I can only image how cool that would look. I think you should seriously consider doing a mock up and then letting us vote. There might be a lot more support than you think. 😀

Any opinions?Well, I don’t know about the price, I don’t collect those. But he does have a good feedback rating. I would pay by Paypal and use a credit card. Just because it is done or not done on Ebay is no guarantee of safety. Good luck regardless of your decision!
I’m sorry to hear about your misfortune. That just sucks!
As a sidenote:
Was any beer hurt in the accident? You might be able to get damages. 8)I agree. I was trying to find a similiar glass holder for my griffin candle lamp in a different color so I could make the eyes change color and all I found was a thin-walled clear one. I couldn’t find even a similiar red one in the shade that Windstone carries.
I ended up buying the light display (from a vendor) for the candle lamps and then went to Evil-Mart and purchased different colored night light bulbs. The effect was really cool, but didn’t have the movement that candle light had.
The colors I got from the eyes were red, yellow, and green/blue. Pretty verstile.
Indeed.
Hmmm…that would be interesting to see. Since the spectrals have a distinct look to them (the shape of the scales and wings, etc), I don’t think it would look as good, but I could be wrong. I dunno. I’ll leave it up to the big dragon enthusiasts to decide.
Hey Guys,
This is not really a plug for my local store, but I saw a couple of pieces I’ve seen mentioned on the Forum recently so I just thought I would let you guys know about it.
My local store The Briar Shoppe (541) 343-4738 in Eugene, Oregon has the Ruby Spectral Rising for $202.95 and a Ruby Emp for $272.95. I don’t collect these sculps, so I don’t really know if they are a good deal or not. After shipping charges, the Spectral may not be. Anyway, if anyone is interested that is what I found out. Also I think they still have some rainbows and peacocks left.
If you guys want me to keep a look out for anything in my travels just post it – if I find it, I’ll PM you.
Enjoy!
pheonixx wrote:Goodness! I thought I spent a lot on Windstones! Nothing compared to a couple of you….my grand total is just under $5,000. Some I have sold, but I always buy more in their place. Now that I think about it, I should seriously consider the extra insurance clause just for my Windstones! 😯 Does anyone else have insurance for their Windstone collection? I know we discussed it on another thread and I have USAA, so maybe it’s something to look into.
Yes, I was curious about that too. I will be moving (hopefully before Christmas) and it has crossed my mind about insuring them. I just don’t know if it’s worth it or not, although I would definetely consider it if I was in an apartment complex. Just one idiot not watching a lit candle or waterbed with a hole and that beautiful collection is caputs!

Pft. You’re gonna be “Done” collecting? 😆 Admitting your addiction is the first step to a cure…though we dont know what the cure is.
I laughed out loud when I read this. You are so right, but my credit cards cannot take such a beating for long. So I designated what pieces I “need” and then will stop for a year (or ten) to pay off some debt. That way I won’t feel like “poor me”… when I see a piece I didn’t get because I “couldn’t afford it.” Will I be done being a collector? Probably not. But this way I will need to sell something before I get anything new, and it will keep me in check. I think….. 😀
As one of my economic profs said in college – “Resources are limited, but human wants are not.”
DANG YOU GUYS!!!!! You MADE me sit down, list all of my Windstone critters and then do best estimate of what I have spent on them. IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!
Ok, now that I have calmed down…..
I have 30 pieces (that includes 2 PYOs) and I estimate I have spent over the years about $4150.
I still need the mother griffin, 2 chicks, and a birmese flapcat to finish my collection. So I estimate it will be about $5000 when I am done, with about 34-35 pieces. Not too bad for all the pieces I have.
Windstone Pieces $5000…..
There perfect collection…..PRICELESS…. 😀December 1, 2006 at 5:35 pm in reply to: ALERT! Can somebody please get that Emerald Riser for me? #513092That was really nice of you Cheryl! 😀
oooooohh! That would be something to see. Hmmmm……it would cool to do something like the wizard retreat (have the candle off to the side) and then just see a tail and some bones lying around. Hehehehe…I’ll like to see what Melody has to say. 😉
I think there are some possiblities there.
Hmmm….stud muffin!
Thank you for the advice Frozen. I appreciate it. 😀
