He’ll be fine, just stay calm, this will pass. You could try giving him some of those children’s smoothie drinks since he is willing to drink things too. That will help boost his nutritional intake while you weather this storm. I am surprised they took out his tonsils so young, as these days they really don’t advise it anymore, since they have come to realize how important it is to defend against infections. But if it was affecting his breathing that badly, I can see why they felt it might be the best course.

If you need anything, just give me a hollar, even if it is just to vent your frustration at the whole situation. If it will make you feel better then I’m willing to listen. Anyway, in a few more days he will start to feel better, just try to stay together til then. *hugs*

Yep, the one on the left is yours. I am pretty pleased with how he came out.

Melody does! Sadly I do not, but I would ask Melody or Susie.

Unbelievable, we lose track of our 5 year old for 10 mins & we start looking for her. I can’t believe he didn’t take the situation more seriously, does he have any idea how lucky it was that the lady who found her was there to watch over her & keep her safe? There are some very sick individuals out there, & he just abandoned her & put her in a situation where it would have been extremely easy for her to be taken. I have no words for his cavalier attitude when she was returned, I am very proud of the officer who went the extra step to call him on it, keep up the good work guy!

I support you all the way in demanding no further visitation, at least until the kids themselves are old enough to be able to look out for themselves better than he obviously does!

    Yeesh!

I’m such a sap for these kinds of stories, you made me cry. Beautiful story, & I am sorry it was her time to go, it is never easy.

You will miss her, but she will live on in your hearts, until you meet again.

Thanks, Mary Jane. Not really, just been doing this for a long time. Forgot how much I enjoyed restoring these guys. I hope to be back in the game over the summer & I will post up pictures as I begin repairing things once more.

Sweetie, take him to the ER, they can access him & figure out if there is a secondary cause behind his refusal to eat, & if anything they can at least get some fluids & possibly food into him. I know it isn’t what you want to do, but he needs to eat, & likely the pain from the removed tonsils is why he is refusing, but until he heals enough to be more interested in food, he is gonna need some nutrition in him one way or another. I am so sorry things aren’t working out as well as expected, but you will get through this, I promise.

Lots of hugs to you & hour family, especially your little one. If you need to talk, you still have my number, yes? If not let me know, I’ll send it to you in IM.

Okay My current list got changed, as folks who were on the list weren’t quite ready to send theirs, so I moved on to the next person, ended up having a rash of people not ready, so ended up moving pretty low on my list.

    Current repairs in house:

Windstonefan- Graphite Oriental- plan to have him done & on his way home this week.
Scathach- Grand Unicorn- He is all done, pictures to follow. Question do you want me to mail him, or just bring him with me when I come to Toronto & give him to you there?

Wampus – White Royal Hatcher- Will be ready to go home by Tues, so I’ll message you.

I’ll be out of town for the end of April, but for those who still want things repaired, message me, I will be available to repair more pieces May 1st.

We love sushi, luckily for me we have an excellent sushi place here in Idaho of all places. They have all you can eat sushi for $18.95…we go as often as we can. Before we got on Weight watchers we could go through about 8 rolls between us, now we’re lucky if we finish 6, which makes it hard to choose. Cause we like more than just 6 of the choices…but we always get the Rocky Mountain, Orange Julius, Godzilla, & Hurricane, after that it is a vote for the last two. LOL!

Anyway, yes definately sushi lovers over here, if anyone wants to visit, we’ll take ya there.

I’d say setting up PayPal to take $10 every couple weeks from your account would be a good way to go, just keep track of how much you have siphoned & make sure that stays in the PayPal when you move funds to checking from eBay sales. Make a mental note in your head that it is invisible money, not accessible unless it is for a Windstone. That should work out, it also makes it easier to use, cause it doesn’t restrict your buying power from only one source.

I have my PayPal set up to pull $25 every two weeks, sometimes I end up needing it, other times it sits. But think of it as a savings acct…or alternately, set up a savings acct, or take it out in cash & stick in a jar. Main thing is to steel yourself not to use it in emergency, just do what you would have done if the money wasn’t there.

Oh you guys, you are missing P.C Cast & Kristen Cast, pretty much everything. And a big one, Kelley Armstrong…she has Werewolves, vampires, necromancers, witches. I have everything she has ever written…she is very very good.

If none of you have read past Jim Butcher’s Dresden series, I highly recommend reading his Codex of Alera series as well, first book is Furies of Calderon. If Tavi can’t hook you in pretty quick, I will be very surpised.

For a more sci-fi direction, with humans & anthromorphic cat & lizard aliens, I recommend Lisanne Norman, first book Turning Point.

I can go on & on, with this topic.

I also love all of LKH stuff, Anita Blake & Merry Gentry series, if you guys have missed those, I highly recommend them as well. (warning, Merry Gentry is dark more or less from get go since she is of the Unseelie Faery court, & they are into some kinky S&M type scenes.) (Anita’s world slides in that direction around book 6 or so…due to some complication of her unique situation, all I’m gonna say. 🙂 )Great stories though, everything ties together well, makes sense.

All the other authors mentioned are also very good.
