Melody, have you thought about calling the ‘simple safari’ group of patterns “Petting Zoo”? 😀

I was looking at the poad clutters today and the idea leaped into my mind! A safari is where you go to see wild, exotic animals; to see domestic, local animals, you visit a petting zoo.

Just a thought I wanted to share!

Good idea! A petting zoo is also what we call a fabric shop.

Are you ok if anyone else uses a similar idea for work? Accept I might be interested in random a random art material off a wishlist with the sculpt. 🙂 I think this is a fun unique idea. 🙂

Basically what dragonmedly said. I usually use sharp pick tools like those for clay sculpting, and very carefully scrape away the epoxy around the horn stub. Every once in a while I wiggle the horn and check the movement. Be careful with the acetone though, I believe it can eat the gypsum if too much is in there. If your not using the old horn, since susie sent you a new one, if you would like to send the old one to me, my neighbor and I can make a new tang for the broken one. We found a way to drill into the base carefully them and set a new tang/core in them.

No, I hadn’t touched any of it when I took pictures except to take it out for photographing. 🙁 I wanted to get pictures of everything before I touched any of it!

*facepalm* There was a round chunky flatish chocolate full of peanuts and caramel with large pecans for feet and head shaped like a turtle. Sounds like someone in customs was hungry. lol Merry Christmas to them. Mary says they must of been testing it for poison for ya to make sure all that chocolate was good right 😉

Eeee, thank you so much 96037! 😀 I haven’t had time to sample much yet but so far it’s all crazy delicious. (I reeeally liked the cluster thing; it only survived long enough to be photographed haha!)

Your chocolate turtle is missing, did you eat it already??? I’m not sure what the cluster was, but they tasted good so we threw one in.

I was pretty sick with a sinus/chest cold all last week and through the weekend (I did get from the doctor last week, so it is going away), so mine is just shipping today. My Dad is being nice and mailing it out for me today, so I can stay out of the cool, damp air outside for another day or two. It should arrive in a few days, and I hope the recipient likes their gifts! ^_^

EDIT: Box is on its way! It should arrive in a few days and my recipient should be receiving an e-gift card today in their email. 😉

I got my piece from 96037 & Laundry2011 (I’m not sure exactly who drew me because of the collaboration.)! I had requested something inspired by one of two pictures showing some rather intricate mosaic creations. The result is ‘Mosi’. An adorable and my first ever kirin (and fancy kirin at that)! She has some lovely blue interference going on over her purple. It’s a shame photos just refuse to capture interference colors. She teaches me that I really need to give each pyo sculpt a chance in person because she’s the second one I’ve thought was way cuter in person than the photos give credit for!

Thanks so much! I hosted her picture collage on dA and put a link in her description pointing back to your dA page 96037 (as well as giving credit where credit is due). I hope that’s alright. It’s just easier to host from dA than other picture hosting sites for me. Please feel free to post your own pictures if mine don’t do enough justice!

It was her piece but we have done the last several swaps together for her pieces. she designed the idea and pattern and did the scales while i did the fur and the detailing around the scales. She originally wanted bronze around the scales but we decided the black looked cleaner and sharper.
