Wow, it was very cool taking a walk down “memory lane” with you all! As a new collector, it’s reassuring to see that, if you miss out on something you really love on eBay, there’s a chance something (somewhat) similar will pop back up. Just gotta give it time 🙂

I haven’t yet backed the project, and didn’t see the stream when it was live, so take my opinion with a grain of salt :)!
I agree whole-heartedly with the last thing that etruscan said: I think it’s important to remember that when you pledge, you’re backing a project (that Melody is very passionate about!), not shopping (in the traditional sense) for Poads. Melody really, truly, is pulling out all the stops for her backers, but it’s impossible to make everyone happy.
This is clearly a learning experience for everyone involved, and I think it’s best to simply know that you’ve chosen to support something so near and dear to Melody’s heart, and to just enjoy the ride c:

You should consider doing other Hips in other big cat patterns! 😉 A clouded leopard would be so cool!

Wow, that’s absurd ): I’m so sorry to hear you had this experience. This is a hobby, and should be fun. There’s no need to go around harassing others for a piece. A single message asking if the piece was still available would have been perfectly acceptable, with an “Oh darn! If the sale falls through, don’t hesitate to reach out!” when they had learned it wasn’t.
You’d think we all know basic online etiquette by now v.v
