AACK – what happened to “Postponed Production” and “Permanently Retired” in the store categories?

Scroll alllll the way to the bottom of a page find the Product Category menu and its at the bottom of the drop down menu.

Yes, that hasn’t changed. And there is also a link under “Production Categories” on the Product Categories page: https://windstoneeditions.com/product-categories/

My phone does the same thing as Kims in her first 2 photos of the drop down menus.
But once in the forums I can see the full posting in each thread without it going beyond the edges of the phone. And I can easily post something without the text box going beyond the edges of the phone as well.

I will work on this this afternoon. It may require some trial and error since I can’t reproduce the issue on my phone. So if you can help me out with a little more info, I’d appreciate it.

The dropdown menu did appear too wide on my iPhone until I cleared my browser cache, and now it looks good in both Safari and Chrome. What kind of phones/browsers are you guys using? Kim, if you pinch to zoom out, does the page then look normal? And also, is this only happening on forum pages, or on other pages (like product pages or the homepage) as well?

BTW, the menu issue is the result of some custom coding that “collapses” the menu, making the list of PRODUCTS, DRAGONS, and all the COMMUNITY links only appear when those things are tapped. There are so many menu items that the menu seems unwieldy if they’re all displayed all the time. This issue should be fixable, but if not we can always go back to displaying all items.

I am trying to do research on my PYO swap partner’s collection, so I was checking the forum replies created tab on their profile, so photos would show up. No results will show past the first page. If I click for page two or the next arrow or anything, it says no results found.

I still have the above going on, but today I see a new issue, unless this was done on purpose: when I logged in there was no Captcha tick box.

The pagination of other users’ forum content is something I’m still working on (you may have noticed that the pagination links work on your own profile, but not on other profiles). I’ve contacted the plugin developer about it and am waiting for a response. I upgrade the Captcha to version 3, which does not have the “I’m not a robot” checkbox. It works behind the scenes without bothering users about clicking pictures, etc. So far the new version has worked perfectly, but let me know if you have any trouble logging in.

Kim, could you try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page? If you’re not sure how to do that, just PM me and I’ll help you. Thanks

The pictures aren’t displaying correctly in the classifieds. When you click on them, the top parts of the pictures are cut off, hidden under words at the top of the page and there’s no where to x them out to go back to the ad.

This is fixed now (thanks for pointing it out). You may need to clear your browser cache for the changes to take effect.

I see what you mean. We had this issue a while back, but it got resolved. I’ll have to look into why it’s happening again. Thanks for letting me know.

I really like that the Menu/Sub-menu listings on the desktop stay locked and visible at the top of the screen and are very accessible. It was a pain having to scroll all the way back up to the top of a thread or the topic list to select another menu/sub-menu item. ^_^

Glad you like it. I’ve also added a “back to top” button, which will appear as you scroll down. Clicking it will take you back to the top rather than having to scroll back up. This should be particularly useful when viewing the site on a phone.

The formatting isn’t working on my phone now. It looks like it is in desktop mode and this part where I am typing it going off the screen so I can’t see everything I’m typing. It took me forever to figure out where to find my messages and listings and things.

Yes the “my account” link is now at the bottom of the mobile menu. I see what you mean about the forum posting input box being wider than the phone screen. I’ll get that fixed, but in the meantime turning your phone to landscape orientation fixes it.

Clay I just tried 4 times to post new links in the Grab bag Directory thread and it won’t show my post. Can you please approve the last one? Also a couple weeks or so ago I posted about a giraffe documentary with links and it wouldn’t post either. I thought it would be approved after a short time but it never showed up. can you still approve that too? I put a lot of time into these posts for them not to work.

Those are both approved and published now.

I just received a message from “Kayla Noyes” yesterday. Just so you know.

Yes, that message was sent on Jan 31; lots of people got that one. You can just delete it. I’ve already disabled the account that sent it out.

I got a “Kayla” message. Anyone ever email her to try to find out what her scam is? And can’t the account be deleted, or does she just keep remaking it?

Every time this happens I delete the account and blacklist the IP, and then eventually she(?) creates a new account with a different email address and does it all over again. I think about 8 accounts so far.

                            Clay,
I am not getting emails when my ads expire anymore. Someone posted another thread about it, and I checked mine. All 8 were expired, and I hadn’t gotten a single email.
Also, the new renew icon is not obvious. At first, it looks like there is no link to renew the ad because it isn’t with the other links, and it isn’t labeled until you hover over it.

OK, I will look into this. I recently created a test ad and set it to expire yesterday. I got the expiration email as usual, so apparently the issues is not happening all the time (which makes it trickier to troubleshoot). I’ll post again here when I have more info.

I will work on this. I recently created a test ad (to test a different issue) and received an expiration notice yesterday as usual, so apparently the problem is intermittent. I’ll get it sorted out.

Hey, Clay, has your email changed?

I’ve tried about three times in January to contact you by email (using clay@windstoneeditions.com) about a couple Forum issues, but never have had a response; it occurred to me today that maybe the email address had changed with the move to the new facility?

Sorry about that. I haven’t used that email in at least 5 years. You can email me at clay@clay-johnson.com, or you can always PM me. Or if you have an issue that might be relevant to others, you can just post it on this thread.
