Getting in on this a bit late, but I usually get a card and didn’t this year 🙁 I did move in June, maybe Windstone doesnt have my current address?
I’m excited! On New Years Eve, I was sitting with some friends in a restaraunt bar down town (where everone is snooty and everything is over priced). It was raining, the food was terrible and very over priced, and one of my friend’s girlfriends was in a crabby mood, so she was less than stellar company. The restaraunts screwed up our reservations, so we were sitting I check my phone, and see an email from ebay. I usually just delete them because its redundant information I see when I login to ebay. On a whim, I decided to read it.
Low and behold, it was a second chance offer on the Carribean Sunset Rising Spectral!!! The high bidder backed out so I got a shot at him!! He should be here soon but I wanted to share my exitement ^_^ *happy dance*
It looks like a bearded dragon with wings …still cute though! I say bearded dragon because of the little tiny spikes on his sides.
I have been listing much more stuff on ebay.
In most cases, if you purchase something from me through the forum, I can offer you a discount. I didn’t get my paycheck this week, so I need to sell some stuff-desperately.

Fried or “over hard” with some salt, pepper and Cholula hot sauce! That’s my favorite. I watched an episode of Good Eats with Alton Brown recently (from season 1) where he talks about eggs. Pretty fascinating! He says if you’re planning on hard boiling them, to tie up the carton and lay it on its side in the fridge. It helps the yolks settle in the middle. Also that eggs should NOT be kept in the door of the fridge because it opens and closes, and the constant temperature change can cause them to spoil faster. They should be kept deep in the fridge where it is coldest, and only taken out immediately before use. Taking the whole carton out and letting it sit in your hot kitchen for 10+minutes before cooking causes them to spoil as much in that little time as they would a week in the fridge….unless you’re going to use the whole carton at once.

I’m of the small breasted women variety too. >.< I liked working at Renn Faire this year because corsets actually GIVE me cleavage I dont have otherwise lol good thing too because I needed a place to hide my cell phone 😉

I’m right there with ya Kaytana! The way I figure it though, from the bystander, with the help of some lovely push ups, it looks like I have boobs, and anyone who might see otherwise isn’t going to care that half of them just dissappeared with the bra lol

There wasn’t a whole lot I really wanted this year besides a new TV, and I was waiting all year for Black Friday so someone would put one on sale. I found a 60″ Vizio smart TV at Walmart for a FANTASTIC price and I GOT ONE!! My mom kept saying, “I doubt you’ll get one”…”there will be other people in line, you might not get one” showed her 😛 I told her she could put a little towards the cost of the TV and that could be her “big” gift to me this year (and I was a little short too lol) So I got an awesome TV that I just love that is comically large, Mom (shouldnt have!) got me a nice new TV stand to put it on so now I have space for my extra DVDS, DVD player, PS2, Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo 😀 of course the older game systems look kinda terrible on the HD screen, but ah well, still fun!
I got a $50 Kohl’s gift card from my aunt, a fluffy soft blanket from another aunt, home made bread, jelly and preserves from Grandma, a framed picture of my Cousin Becca, her sister, Becca’s best friend and myself at Becca’s wedding. ^_^ awww! Its a good picture of all of us. “Santa” brought some fluffy clothing, a silver and diamond snowflake pendant and an awesome rinestone gecko watch that wraps around your wrist. I’ll have to get a picture of it and post it 🙂
and the guy Ive been kinda seeing is a welder and made me the most amazing thing! Ive been dragging him around Christmas shopping with me, and kept saying I needed a way to organize my jewelery, and saying I wanted to find something to hang on the wall so I could hang necklaces from it. He also picked up that I love dead trees, (found an awesome metal tree wall art piece at Hobby Lobby but it was expensive…either $150 or $300 I cant remember) so he made me a dead tree metal wall piece, painted purple, my favorite color, and made the branches so that necklaces could be hung from them. OMG! I love it, its amazing.
He’s a guy, I didn’t expect his gift to be so spectactular! So I’m making him a paining to go with the puzzles I already got him. Need to start on that this week, he doesn’t know about it yet. It will be cat shilouettes against a red and blue background (red is his favorite color and his walls in his room are this beautiful blue). I hope it comes out good and I hope he likes it >.< he loves cats like I do lolKaytana-a white Christmas! That's the best gift of all! They got snow in Dallas, 250 miles north of here, but for Houston-just rain and cold drizzle.
Wow Wolfen you are really doing great with the resolution. Think you could have a chat with my hubby and get him to do that too!!! 🙂 He still has clothes from high school and he is now 43!! He has a 6 drawer dresser and full closet in our room, my sons room has a full dresser and closet of his stuff and we have about 8 or 10 large boxes of clothes in the basement! He told me that while I was in Mexico this summer he got rid of some stuff……..ya he got rid of 1 small bag of ripped up pants and shirts!!! He is somewhat of a hoarder. The only thing that keeps him in check is me going around the house saying….”Garbage” and tossing things out! I can’t stand to have the house look cluttered up and I try to “promote” the idea of if you haven’t worn it in the last year…someone else could use it…..if you don’t need it….toss it or give it away……IF IT IS AN ENVELOPE THAT SOMETHING WAS IN…..TOSS THE FRIGGIN THING!!! YES He even keeps the envelopes that the bills come in!!! Bloody hell! LOLOL 🙂 I love him to death by REALLY do you ever need to keep the envelope!
Yeah, my parents (mostly my mom) are bad about all that too! Their 2800 sq ft house is full! I am getting tough on Mom. “You don’t need that. Its been sitting in this closet the last year, and you obviously haven’t missed it. Get rid of it” She can be a sap sometimes and a bit wishy washy, so I dont ask the question, “Do you really need this? Do you love it?” because she will find a way to say yes to one of those questions lol She has gotten rid of a lot and thrown away a lot too but sill has a lot to go. I need to get her a way to organize all her bills too because she keeps old, paid ones for months and months in an unorganized stack and every time I walk by it, it drives me crazy. Ive been tripping over boxes since June and Im sick of it, so time to organize! She did get the middle bedroom cleaned out in time for my Grandmother to visit for Christmas, so Im VERY proud of her for that! This bedroom was so piled high with comforters, quilts (gosh, you’d think we lived someplace cold lol) bags of (*sweatdrop*) my stuffed animals, old clothes-STUUUUUUUFF that you could barely open the door. Its the cleanest room in the house now lol
My resolution for the year is 1080p.
Ahhhh HAHAHAHA LOVE IT!!! Sounds about right to me to. I stopped making resolutions cuz then I felt like I was doing something wrong when I broke them. Rebel rousing Canadian that I am LOL 🙂

My resolution (I’m already working on it!) is to
1-De clutter
2-Keep nothing that I don’t *LOVE* that has no function
3-Get and stay organizedAll kind of the same thing. I used to be creeping down the path to hoarding…when I was in middle school, Id save movie ticket stubs if I had a good time with friends, I’d save cleaned candy wrappers…stupid stuff like that. 2 years ago when I moved in with the (now) ex, I left a ton of stuff at mom’s house, but still got rid of all the JUNK. He kept telling me “you have too much stuff!” which, at that point was not junk, just stuff…collectibles, collections (and I had a lot of collections) I went through all my photographs and threw away pictures of people I didn’t remember (from elementry school, middle school) or didn’t talk to anymore, I organized all my pictures into nice, neat, choronological albums. THAT felt good. That was step 1.
Recently, Ive started going through the garage and getting rid of stuff I can’t use right now, cleaning out my closet, organizing my seasonal clothes and jewlery and blankets (have a LOT of those 3 things haha), selling off bits of my pony collection as I dont have space to display it. With ponies, I can always find them again if I start to miss having them. I’d like to get down to JUST my Windstone collection, toy horse collection (a smallish/manageable size) Garfield plushie collection (now is nicely put away in a storage tub until I get my own place again) and my Enesco Elusive Legends/Amberwood collection (which is small and fits nicely in a little curio cabinet I have near my bed).
Ive listed old stuffed animals and ponies and horses on ebay this past week (to fund my Windstone habit of course lol) but it feels….immensely good…to get RID OF STUFF and organize the things I *am* keeping.

I heart Barn Swallow so much, but can I ask you guys something? Is it just me or are these two way more bland then the older Barn Swallow??? I know this Riser has WAY more orange and the last one had much more blue, these two just are not doing it for me like the older style.
The first Riser I was like “OMG” and this one I’m sorta “Meh”
The first Barn Swallow Riser had OMG photos, but he was more “Meh” when I unpacked him (so he eventually went to another home). I am hoping that I like Barn Swallow Riser #2 better than I liked BSR #1.
Well Im glad you felt that way because to me, he is OMG in photos AND in person. 😉

8×11 color brochure of all the prints done to date-there are some cute ones Ive never seen for sale like mice in a country house, penguines, a gothic unicorn and a few others I cant remember.The only art I have in my house besides photographs are Melody’s, a painting I did for Josh, an original oil painting by A. Liang and two horse pictures who’s artist escapes me at the moment.

If they make you happy, that is all that matters! You have a collection that will all fit on one shelf for you to enjoy, not kept in boxes or scattered all over the house as sometimes happens. Arranging display space for a large collection of Windstones can take a LOT of money and effort, so there are advantages to having just a few pieces. 🙂
AGREED! After I moved, I lost a lot of display space (my wall shelf, my giant desk I had to leave behind) and now about 10 or so of my pretties have been in their boxes hidden away since the summer 🙁 My more favorite ones I opened up and set them around my bedroom, but they aren’t displayed, just hanging out until I can find a spot for a new book case or find a clever way to display them.
