I’m very excited to see A) the brown spectral at last and B) more oriental dragons 🙂 I love them. May I make a suggestion though? What abut putting some of that light, silvery twilight color along his spine ridge? I think it would give him more contrast and that is what I like about the other winged dragons in this color. OR put the black along his ridge and put the light “silver blue” color on the middle of his sides.

OMG I would be terribly inconsolable too 🙁 Did you ever check Craigslist to see if someone found them and was trying to resell them?

That is so sweet! What’s funny is that he puts his “hands” around her head and tilts his head like a human man would kiss a woman he hasn’t seen in a long time. Aww thank you for sharing!

I saw this too! I was actually going to email Melody about it. Sorry guys *shifty eyes* it’s on it’s way to my house. I collect Melody’s prints and thought I was nearing having them all. I’ve got about 23 so far, not including this one, as well as a post card sized print and a catalog of the prints Windstone offered for sale.

Melody, I hope you’ll reconsider doing another new print one day. I love your 2D work because it doesn’t have the “over hang” restraint that your sculptures do so all of the wonderful wings, manes/tails, horns etc. can really be seen.

I’d really love to know more about this piece too. The seller just said he got it at an estate sale and didn’t know anything more about it.

Not much in the way of advice other than be FIRM with ebay. Don’t use words like “I think”, “I feel”, “maybe” tell them “This item was damaged by ebay” and do NOT let them transfer you to paypal. I had a situation once where both companies kept tossing me back and forth like a tennis ball and neither one wanted to fess up. I was on the phone with them for an hour past their closing time and still didn’t get it resolved. It was probably 3 years ago but man it stuck in my mind.

I hate how ebay is like THE POLICE when it comes to regulating buyers and the behavior of sellers but ebay can do whatever they want and like a dictatorship, get away with it. They’ve put most of the other buying and selling websites out of business (anyone remember nobidding.com?) and they can come down with their iron fist because they feel like it. (I’m still pretty bitter that I was told, “You can never sell on ebay ever again as long as you live” just for letting my standards fall to “standard” and having my buyers leave me 4 out of 5 stars.) Anyhoo, be firm, and if you don’t like the answer you get, call back and speak to someone else. Ask to speak to a regional manager or somesuch. GOOD LUCK!

I voted Blue Morpho and Blue Ice. I was fortunate enough to win this guy on ebay and this color is amazing. Is it difficult to paint? I’d buy the rest of the family in a heart beat.

Or….what about a teal with a white/silver mane/tail and silver details? Something like this but without the details (for simplicity’s sake)

ah *blush* thanks. I looked around before I posted but…obviously didn’t look that hard *shifty eyes* Thanks Etruscan!

I missed them too. They were all gone by the time I saw the email, 30 minutes after it was sent. I love the little calico 🙂 She looks like my boyfriend’s cat Ramie. I would love some all white ones. I was thinking some solid colored fantasy cats (blue sparkle, purple etc) would be good too…maybe as a grab bag batch or something? Not so complicated that the price jumps a lot but something a little more crazy for the crazy people like me 😛 🙂

Listed a few new auctions. I am only allowed to list 10 at a time so every 3 days I hope to have more listed. I’ve got a few Grand Champion horses not listed and some Littlest Pet Shops (the vintage ones) so if you are looking for anything, let me know.

I’m also glad to sell direct to you through the forum if the item does not sell on ebay

I have one of your loonakits from a long time ago and I love it! I am glad to see you are still making them. 🙂

I loved the look on my housemates face when I popped a small handful of Windstone packing peanut into my mouth.

“Man, I’m hungry. Oh, peanuts, Nom, nom, nom!”

It’s always a blast pulling that off on unsuspecting people.

~Hoofer, not so right in the noodle, but always out for fun.

LOL!!! Hilarious! I would have liked to have been there for that.

Another word to the wise…they can attract weevils. I keep peanuts (both the biodegradable Windstone ones and the Styrofoam ones) in case I need/want to sell a Windstone or…move (I seem to move about every 2 years). I opened up a cardboard box today I had gotten from Windstone (that had been sitting in the spare bedroom for a few months) and saw some little weevils hangin’ out. O.O I’ve been storing peanuts/foo foos for years and never saw this!

Ohhh my gosh! I about imploded when I saw this auction! I have been looking for it forever. Wouldn’t you know the one time I ever see it up for sale and it goes out of my price range. Bah! Well congrats at whoever got it. I have a little post card version and it’s a wonderful piece.

Melody, I think it absolutely adds to the value of the piece knowing that 1-It belonged to your sister (omg) and 2-you drew the little kitty doodle in the bottom. Very awesome.

I hope you find time in the future to do more “production” drawings. Maybe one of your sun and moon dragon together *hint hint* or a flap cat *nudge nudge* 🙂 I absolutely love your art work-2D and 3D.

I really love the pebbles too and am regretting selling my Fennec Fox years ago >.< I would really love to see at least both of the cats in the white color the "Fat Cat" was done in and a restock of the orange "Fat Cat"…he looks just like my big "fat" cat, Chester 🙂
The white color is very beautiful and simple. I've always liked Maya Hill's little pebble stones but wished they came in animal shapes. I was thrilled to see the pebbles since they are sort of like Maya Hill's-soft easy lines, simple shapes. I like that the cats and Fennecs are sleeping. Adds to their peace.
