Yeah, it was the original color. I bought my first Windstone from a dealer at a state fair. I really do miss being able to see items in person before buying them. I guess that aspect of retail is dying out.
My friend from Virginia called me last night. She said I think I found some Windstones at Goodwill. A few photos sent and I’m now the new owner of a Kirin and white hatching dragon. They have about 5 other Windstone but have minor damage to them and not as cheap as I would hope. I’m super happy to have a friend thinking about me when they go out thrifting.
I just need to whine, perhaps I’ll feel better. I have been saving to buy a “new to me car”. I feel like everything that could go wrong is. Today, i got a random Facebook message from someone i went to high school with(i graduated in 2009). My boyfriend and i own a rental property. Small two unit rental. So, this message states that the person in one of the units is partaking in illegal behavior . Sadly, this information isn’t a surprise. I called my property manager who doesn’t seem to care. He thinks as long as they pay rent i shouldn’t care. WTF, I CARE!! So, now Monday i have to start the eviction process. I’m being told it’s going to take awhile since they are on section 8. They are breaking the lease terms by having other people live on the property while receiving government ascendance. Long story short the few thousand dollars i have saved now will have to go to remodeling the apartment. I’m debating about selling the house but it really is a great long term investment. I’m just sad it might be till the end of the year till i can buy a car.
I want to make a classified ad, however under the part it says Contact Person’s Email* it list the wrong email. It isn’t giving me the option to edit the email address. I check my account info and that has the correct email. Any tips wold be appreciated. Haven’t used the new forums much.
I got my package today from Dashesndots!! I loved everything soo soo much. This gift made my month. I haven’t been able to buy myself many Windstones over the last few years. So, i was speechless when i opened the curled dragon. Thank you soo much!(Attempting to post photos)

My bank account was hacked. Thankfully the bank caught it. Sadly, i leave for vacation tomorrow. All accounts were placed on a hold. My poor credit card has to take the damage till everything is worked out.
I had a very horrible incident happen to a “neighborhood cat”. I took ownership and rushed him to my local vet. After the vet asked what had happened ect they treated the cat for free(I live in a small town). They also called the police and filed charges on the person who abused the cat. Sadly, the cat didn’t make it but the owner was fined. I would call around and see if any organization will help with vet care.
I have a large hutch with wooden shelves. I use this for the large bulky items. I bought this at a local furniture store for an outrageous amount(young and dumb?). I found a beautiful Ethan and Allen’s curio cabinet on Craigslist for $300. The seller only lived 3 blocks from me and the transaction went flawless. I love going to auctions too. I see alot for sale at those.
Kim, your house sounds amazing. I would love to see photos!! I feel that i might be scared of color. Everything is turning out …tan or gray. So, i’m going to start small and start looking for accessories with some pops of color. I have been looking at some used furniture stores however, i don’t feel the prices were much lower then buying new. I live in an area with a large Amish population and they buy almost everything from local auctions ect. I did go out and buy a new sofa and dinning room set. The prices of a dinning room set almost discouraged me altogether. I wanted something simple in real wood. Purplecat, i looked at the cubes while shopping but wasn’t to sure how they would work with plaster walls. The house is almost 100 years old. So, not sure how hanging stuff with any weight will go. I’m lucky that the kitchen was already remodeled. That was always the project i wanted to do at my old house but seemed to daunting. The kitchen is painted in a mint green color, that is very slowly growing on me. However, i don’t know what colors to go with it. Red and other green shades? Any recommendations?
