A great piece, and that dark chocolate color is really beautiful. Yum, yum! 😀

Oh, she is lovely. 🙂 I like the way you did the entire piece without a bright contrasting color and no outlining of scales. Each color just seems to flow into the next to give an overall soft and subtle look. Very pretty. 😀

Hmmm, very interesting! I didn’t know there was anything like that. (Where is that Smiley for Thumbs Up?)

Whoa, he is beautiful! 😀 Did you really paint him? You are pulling my leg, right? 😮 No stripes? No spots? No way! Sooo tame. 😆

Seriously, he looks great, and so does your “magic” paint; it shows up well even in the pictures. 😀

Aww man that copper koi rin would make a beautiful father for my brown eyed baby koi rin. Wish I had some extra money stashed away somewhere. 😥

Ah, I wondered who had the baby. Does he match the Male’s coloring, or are they both just loosely based on the Koi pattern? Did Windstone ever come out with the Female to match this Male?

Sorry I didn’t have a chance to update this posting sooner today (yet another trip to the Vet), but both the Griffin and the Kirin will be heading to new homes. 🙂

I have two pieces for sale that I won on the eBay special auctions. Both are mint with their tags and boxes; both come with their COAs and are signed by Melody. I would like to get about what I paid for them, but I am open to reasonable offers; shipping will be added at the time of purchase, and I do take payments.

Copper Koi Male Kirin, Test Paint #1. Paid $360. Sold

Silver Hawk Male Griffin, Test Paint #1. Paid $510. (see 9/20 posting)

I am mixed about the “surprise” raffle. I did not enter because Melody called it Wampus CAT, and I do not care for the Flap Cats. Eventually I saw that she said it was actually a dragon, but that CAT part stuck in my head and kept me from entering. If I had actually seen this guy, I most definitely would have entered the raffle; he is great! 😀

I think most people would be happy to win any Windstone, but that means they cannot enter to win one they might be crazy about. I totally understand the people who do not want to give up this chance; but I have only seen one raffle piece that I actually disliked, and it wasn’t even a Flap Cat. I would have been thrilled to win the Wampus Cat, but I am one of those people who would be happy to win any Windstone. 🙂

Oh, he is so wild! 8) What a wonderful prize. Congrats, Sechan! 😀

I like pieces that don’t look like all the others, that are new and different; and he certainly is an original. That is what the raffle prizes are to me: pieces that really are unique. I suspect you will be discovering new and interesting things about him for quite a while. 😆

Looks like a chip to me, as if the top of the scale was sheared off.

Also, he’s saying the item is in excellent/perfect condition, but zoom in on pic#3 and it looks like there are a couple chips on the top of the left wing. Could be the flash from the camera though. 😕

I would say those look like flash glare. However in the lower right corner of that same picture, where the wing tip touches the purple scales, it definitely looks like the top of a scale is broken off. 🙁 Anyone bidding on this should certainly ask the seller if there are any chips, cracks, paint rubs, scratches, repairs, etc. Get it in writing, and spell it out, so there is an airtight case with eBay if it is damaged.

As to price, I sold a Rainbow Fledgling about a year ago that was brand new in his box. He sold for $150 plus shipping. These Rainbow Fledglings really are rare; this is the first one I have seen since I sold mine, and they were rare back then.

But she has an odd issue with her sealant. It has a crackle affect on it like crackle glaze on pottery! I have no idea how it happened..but in the right lighting you can see it.

I remember Loki saying something quite a while back about a PYO of hers also having an “odd issue.” I don’t remember the details; but it is ringing a bell, so maybe yours is similar to hers. Hers was only in scattered parts of the finish, not over the whole piece. What about Tropic Ocean? All over, or just here and there?

I do remember thinking the effect was quite pretty, that I would like to see it over an entire piece, and that it was too bad she could not duplicate it on another piece. Maybe Loki will see this and you will be able to get together and figure it out.

I love the Amethyst color but absolutely hate those orange eyes. 👿 I liked the peach eyes much better, but not quite enough to bid on #2. I was holding out and hoping for red. 🙂 Hallelujah! There it was in #3. 😀 Double Hallelujah! I got her! 😀

I don’t like any of the other eye colors in the pictures, but what about the light blue that has been in the production pieces all these years?

Congrats, Koishii. She sold for a good price, and she is certainly worth it. 😀

There was a lot of activity in the last moments; my bid did not even go through. I was outbid even as I was submitting it. Evidently many people were after her, not just people making multiple bids. Congrats also to the lucky person who won her. 😀
