“Weird but I signed up for the list and never got an email about these critters. I assume more are being made? 🥰”
I’m sorry, sending the emails to the waitlist and filling the orders is taking some time. We sent email notices to less than one half of those on the waiting list because that was all of the Barongs that were already packed up ready to travel. As soon as more Barongs are packed up we will be sending out more emails. That may be tomorrow, August 3rd. We apologize for the wait! Thank you for your patience.
“I just sold some stuff on eBay, and it looked like it wasn’t too much slower than Priority- comparable to the old 1st Class/Ground options. Seems like they’ve used the relabeling as an excuse to put the prices in the atmosphere though.”
I’m not sure, but I think that the Priority Mail services went up a bunch – though Medium Flat Rate boxes seem to be the same as before.
“Has anyone ever had any issues getting an eye of the proper side inside the socket of a PYO? I have a kirin that I painted and I thought that I was being smart leaving the eye out until after I was finished, but now that I’m done I’m finding it really hard to get one of them inside. (One of them went in and is seated tight and well, but this second one…) I’m not sure if the problem is the paint but I definitely didn’t think I painted the layer(s) that thick.”
The glass eyes vary from eye to eye – and the eye sockets may vary too. Eyes may be slightly thicker or thinner than each other, and sockets slightly bigger or smaller. Some eyes have big pupils and some have small ones too. We try to mail off a matched set but its often difficult to tell. Its wise to try them on in the eye sockets before painting so that you can scrape out the socket a bit if the eye feels too snug, or switch the eyes to fit on opposite sides. Paint is also thicker than you might think! A bit of scraping out of the painted eye socket should allow the eye to go in.
If your eyes don’t want to fit in – please contact me and tell me what the problem is, what PYO they are for, the eye color, and provide your name and mailing address – and then I can see about sending you a new pair that will fit your animal better.
To reach me please use email: service@windstoneeditions.com or susie@windstoneeditions.com. The contact us page goes to me as well!
July 27, 2023 at 12:38 pm in reply to: Paint Your Own Barong Waitlist opened 7/26/23 – and is closed as of 7/27/23 #1673727The PYO Barong Waitlist is now closed and I will begin emailing those who are on it with instructions for how to order. You will have until my deadline to place your order. If you do not order by the deadline, I’ll move you to the end of the list and email you again when your name comes up later on. Only those who are on the waitlist will be contacted and are not to share the ordering password. We shall have lots of these critters as a normal part of our Paint Your Own line – There is no need to worry about missing out completely! I can’t wait to see these creatures all dressed up!
its a Pop Tart!
Thank you Bodine! I have a wonderful Helper Elf now and we keep improving our systems for getting things done!
Thank you DragonX3 for the vote of confidence in our method!
July 7, 2023 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Amethyst Bantam & Mini Keeper Dragons – join the waitlists! #1673170I just realized I forgot to state when I hid them! Yes, they are hidden right now (July 7th) while we offer them to the folks on the waitlist. When that is done, we will reveal them again. I apologize for the confusion.
June 1, 2023 at 3:20 pm in reply to: Reports of Fake & Knock-off Windstones and general infringements #1671560When a New Grab Bag “pre-release” Wait List is put on our site I THINK we are now going to place it on the store page that says “Current Grab Bags”. There will be an emailed Newsletter/Announcement and will most likely also be a message on the home page as well. This is not happening any time real soon! We cannot put a waitlist for the new Grab Bag Resting Ponycorns until we know how many Melody will be making – and we know what the price will be.
March 24, 2023 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Calypso Female Hearth Dragons password protected restock #1669708For those waiting for this piece – the wait list was very long and its going to take quite a while to get through it. If you are wondering where you are on the list – you can email me with questions. susie@windstoneeditions.com
FYI For Lap Dragon enthusiasts: Most of the Lap Dragons have very long waitlists and are being restocked with Password Protected batches. We have already restocked a number of colors that way – which means that while they are being offered for sale we hide their pages and you don’t notice them. I don’t think many more are coming up soon. Please make sure that you have pressed the Join Waitlist button on any item that you are waiting for. You can manage your waitlists by logging in, going to “My Account” and looking under the “Shop” tab for the “Waitlists” tab.
Thank you for the alerts to Imposters! Please – if you see something amiss with our webstore, the best way to let us know if by email to service@windstoneeditions.com. I just happened to see this message – I seldom read all the comments on posts in the forum. -Susie
Ooops! I better move Mother Dragon back to her proper spot! -Susie
