But without antiquing, it currently looks flat and without depth. I guess I’m going to have to give it another try over the weekend.
LIH, do you seal it before you antique? When I first attempted antiquing, I sealed it first and when the antiquing didn’t look as good as I hoped I just wiped it off with a damp cloth without damaging the base coat that I worked so hard on. Don’t be afraid to experiment, that’s where some of the prettiest art comes from! 🙂
Drag0nfeathers recommended a great one to me. It’s called Dupli-Color Clear Effex from Advance Auto Parts. It’s AMAZING stuff! I think I paid around $12 for a can. I just used some today on a little ceramic mushroom I painted to sit by my Poads. 🙂
I have a straggler! Better late than never! I know a lot of people were anxious to see a “pukey pony”, so here is “Tesla”. The pics aren’t that great, but when I put him in sunlight to take a photo certain areas looked washed out and dull. I love when Melody does off-the-wall color schemes and this one is definetly wild! 🙂 I’m super happy to have him.
They are so cute . My birthday is next week . But I doubt I’d get one . Good Luck to anyone who gets them .

Sand Fox in Sand?
One of my three year olds INSISTED that I submit this one. He calls Poads “chickens”, so he named this photo “Scary Chicken”, LOL.
I’m really disappointed with my entries, so disappointed that my hubby asked me if I’d like a better camera for Christmas. Heck Yeah!
Woot! Took lots of photos of my pearl griffin family in the snow this morning before it all melted!
LOL! I had the same idea this morning! I was JUST trying to figure a way of putting my Snow colored chick out in the yard without getting him wet. I procratinated with taking the autumn shots I wanted to do and now all the leaves are buried under 5 inches of snow. Serves me right for being lazy! I have lots of ideas, just need to get moving on them!
Now that so many people have a fondness for Melody’s art, I think the old animals would sell like hotcakes. I’ve been on a hunt for a “licking cat” for the past couple years, I love his pose!
