As always, I’m in awe of your artistic talent Landipan. Those cranes are so beautiful! They look as soft as clouds. I would never have the patience to do that sort of finely-detailed painting, especially with whites. I loooove the gentle watercolor-esque background too. Just wowza. You should feel proud!
Mika, you really have a great hand when it comes to color theory. I love the soft look of the ‘grumpicorn’ Solstice, and the rainbow kirin is to die for. Well done!
@Setsunawolf Oh my gosh, those griffins are gorgeous! I might be a little jealous lol.
@tiger Congrats on the new pieces! They look great together!
@pipsxlch Surprise dragons are the best dragons hehe. Super cute hatcher you got, and so thoughtful too. Grats!
@Bodine That rainbow of mini poads is wonderful. I especially love the blue/silver on the far left. So pretty!I’m stoked to see the pictures of the Garlens showing up. I wish I had been able to get one; I had to cut back on what I was putting into the Kickstarter. Here’s hoping one day Melody does a gb of him or something (I think I could just squee and keel over for a thylacine Garlen lol).

@tiger – Congrats! Your pieces look so good together. Good luck finding the ones you want to flesh out the group. ^_^
December 11, 2018 at 12:35 pm in reply to: Show off your Kickstarter Poads! (WARNING: Picture heavy!) #1548030Supa suprised to get an adult and baby special that matched as I don’t remember sets being officially offered.
You’re either really lucky, or Melody might have used the some special adults as inspiration for the babies.
Indeed, special adult-baby sets were not offered on the Kickstarter. Only the regular ones were, as gardenninja showed.
I actually had that purple one in my box for awhile! Glad to see it went to a poadie home–I recognize a sneaky green uni silhouette at the top there, hehehe–and your teal one is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
My Christmas wishes would be either a pretty female griffin so my male has a proper mate, or a mismatched pair of mama/papa kirin so my herd of babies finally have parents! I’m still hunting for just the right baby uni (it would make a great stocking stuffer!). And my wildest wish would be a special flion just for me, but that seems highly improbable lol.
As for family, I’d wish for an easy winter. Don’t get me wrong: I love snow. But it seems like winters get rougher every year. It gets harder on us to deal with the random blizzards we have (followed by flash floods due to snow melt), mostly due to our old man of a horse. He’s late 40s/early 50s and has almost no teeth, so we feed him beet pulp with senior feed mixed in. Trekking through snow while carrying it out to our barn which is nowhere near the house is exhausting. But the stubborn ol’ mule is worth it. Him making it through this winter would be a blessing, too.
If you come across the piece Window of Wonders, keep me in mind. It was my only Enchantica piece, and I think sticky fingers happened to it.
I wish I could help ya with that. That piece came out after I stopped collecting Enchantica (rather, I was forced to because the only store that carried them locally closed). Best of luck finding that one; from everything I read about it, it’s highly sought.
Sounds interesting. I could give it a whirl if you still need people.
More to come soon!
Trea, the Silver She Terragon (’98-99 promotional piece)
asking price: $75Signed by Jim B (James Brierley, the sculptor) & Chris Hughes (the painter) Oct ’98. The blue seal is notable for having the incorrect promotional years embossed on it, displaying 97-98 instead of 98-99, while still having the correct piece name on it.
