I’m sorry, Gina and Laurie. I have not taken the time or effort to tell you both how much I enjoy seeing all your artistic endeavors and how much I wish I could back it up with $$$s! You are both welcome contributors to the world of Windstones and I hope to see (and own) more of your work in the future. Thank you!

Congrats on your Little Rock Dragon, rock-reader! That’s AWESOME that you were able to win him! 😀

HeeHee! I HOPE there are more Grab Bags coming up that will keep some of the upcoming eBay prices lower as well – then maybe I might just have a good chance at getting one too! Especially when some of the Curlies start showing up! End quote.

I WISH I’d gotten that little rock Dragon… it was actually mashubert that won it – Congratulations!

I am shocked at how inexpensive the Windstones are selling for on eBay! I wish I could afford to buy some. Only $255 for that beautiful lap Dragon. And they’ve all been so nice!

in reply to: Armadillo – Grab Bag edition – One Per Customer! #942601

I was in the middle of having my wi-fi vetted by my Internet provider when I clicked on Windstone as part of the process and saw the rainbow Armadillos. I immediately put one in my cart and then the tech I was talking to rebooted my connection (cutting it off). When it came back on, I still couldn’t connect and, to make a long story a little shorter, by the time I got back to Windstone, my cart was empty and they were all spoken for :((. Someone is trying to tell me something and when the Universe speaks, I guess I should listen….congratulations to those who got one! 🙂

in reply to: color shift GB baby kirin show off thread – 02/10/2016 #942457

Here is my GB baby. 🙂 I really love purple, so I was thrilled when I opened the box! 😀 She has such lovely lavender eyes. ^.^

Beautiful…but it’s like looking at the negative of mine! Everyone’s are so pretty. I would love a whole blessing of them.
I got a ki-rin that is white where yours is colored and colored where yours is white (I can’t take pictures anymore but he is in the first class photo, fourth row down and third from the right).

    edit:

Dragoneer_88: We nearly have twins! 😀 Love your purple baby too. 😀

I had to sit this grab bag out but I haven’t seen a single one that I wouldn’t be totally thrilled to have! Melody, you did a great job, as usual. Thank you.

First, a question: What are MLPs?

Besides Windstones, I actively collect books (fantasy, science fiction, mystery and anything else that interests me) but mostly in digital form now due to dexterity problems. I have an old collection of gemstones and some gemology tools (my favorite remaining sub-collection is my “quartz with stuff inside” gems), a handful of Breyer horses from my childhood, and tons of movies on VHS and DVD. I also have a lot of dragon figurines which were gifted to me over the years by family and friends but I only actively seek out Windstones. The only boxes I keep are Windstone boxes; I try to recycle others as quickly as possible unless I have an immediate use for them, otherwise I too would be a hoarder.

I took my bank account into the red to get my green/purple cougar (totally missed the llamas) when they came out but got $ the next day and was able to purchase the red/blue (I like purple) and the magenta/gold. Depending on my budget and Windstone’s inventory, I might also get the green/silver. What?? I like color shift paint and I love the elegance of the cougars!

I too need an adult to sign off on my purchases – I’m a BAD girl J)

in reply to: Issue With Ebay/Paypal Transaction and Buyer #939933

Well just as an update she still hasn’t messaged me back even though I saw her on here most of the night. I talked to paypal and they told me if someone files a chargeback with their credit card, paypal has no control over it and the credit card company investigates it and said it can sometimes take 2-3 months for them to make a decision on it. So in the meantime they basically told me my I would not be able to buy or sell anything else on ebay or paypal without making up the $98 negative balance on there now and that I may not be refunded the money at all. So after sending them my messages with all the evidence I have, for paypal to tell me that really upsets me even more. I told them I wasn’t waiting 2-3 months for something to clear up when I run a business on paypal and need to be able to buy and sell on there!

I just sent you a PM.

Thanks for all the comfort – I’m much better today.
My thoughts are with the others with problems – my heart goes out to you all.

in reply to: WHINE is served #936918

Let me start off by saying that I know many people have it worse off than me (many in this forum, even) but I feel like complaining…First, it was chronic depression and decades of various therapies and antidepressants. I coped, like many, with food and continued on with my life. Then, it was Type 2 diabeties which I managed as diet controlled for fifteen years. Ok, its doable. Next, in between complications of chronic lyphodema, I get hit with congestive heart failure. More bad news, more pills. Then my pulse jumps up – yep, now I have atrial fibulation (I know I’m spelling these words wrong; everything is underlined in RED) – more pills. Meanwhile the implications are piling up: heart attack, stroke, blindness, loss of limbs, vastly shortened life span, etc – such a cheerful picture. I’m taking so many medications that my dentist won’t prescribe antibiotics or pain meds after dental surgery – I have to go to Urgent Care and get an MD to prescribe these short term helpers. Then, the mild tremors in my hands, that I have been complaining mildly to my GP about for years (“Its nothing; don’t worry about it”) worsens. A visit to a Neurologist and its confirmed: Parkinson’s Disease. More drugs and complications; the drugs that will minimize the tremors now will, with long term use, result in more uncontrolled movements later! Parkinson’s has no cure and if the other things don’t get me the Parkinson’s will. Last Monday, I got diagnosed with an admittedly minor problem – a large hernia on my abdomen. (Larger is better according to my GP).

Ok, I’m done. Where do I get off this merry-go-round?

    Thanks for letting me whine….

in reply to: Ugh, I messed up… #936786

Glad you got one! I think I must have gotten yours. I didn’t see the notice until much later and there was one lonely black sparkle sitting grey Fox and I snatched him up. They look so good with copper colored eyes! So YEAH for us both :).
