Thanks everyone. I know I should wait. I am going to wait. I think it would be stupid of me to send it out there as my introductory piece and have it full of errors or have the timeline make no sense.
It also doesn’t help that I have decided on the cover art for the book either. It just makes the book seem that much more of a reality. It is quite exciting.
Yes, that is a stained glass dragon. It graces a window in my husbands game room. None of my other dragons had spikes and ridges and I needed one with armament for the cover. While it isn’t exactly like the dragons in my story it is colorful and gets across the idea that the story is about dragons in one simple glance.
Hang in there – it sounds like you have a good first novel and you need to give yourself every opportunity to shine!
I have a question about your cover (it is beautiful). Is it actually cut glass pieces or is it a drawing where the “lead” between the panels is actually a black paint? Just curious…

Welcome!! So you love cats, huh? Well, you are definitely among friends here. (Check out thread “Caturday 2013” – it’s a gas) I got Puffin, Tiger and the Circle of Cats as gifts years ago and I love them! …Hmmmmm, I’ve had fresh chicken eggs and store bought (cage free) chicken eggs and I couldn’t tell the difference….
My favorite way to prepare eggs is an old fashioned ham-and-cheddar cheese omelet with whole eggs, ham, mushrooms, onions and cheddar cheese with a large serving of hash browns!!
….can’t have that anymore 🙁 🙁 🙁“Poad-tched”? Is that where you put the egg in the shell behind a poad and ask the poad if chocolate is nasty? (NOOOOOO!)
I hope we see some previews in livestream first. I’ll probably have to skip this batch but I’d still like to see them in more detail.

1. rock-readerI don’t know if this is a knock off or just misnaming but there is what appears to be a Windstone Guardian Gargoyal (?) Dragon listed on eBay as “Windstone Editions by Ashley Avery’s – Dragon Statue”. Is this a misrepresentation or what? Was Ashley Avery some Windstone painter that I’ve never heard of?
