The majority of my collection are on shelves my husband made for me. It almost takes up an entire wall in the living room. They are done in such a way so they won’t bow. I also have some in my bedroom and a few in a curio, some pyos on a shelf, and the rest on my dresser in the bedroom.

It’s good to hear from you again and I’m sorry your going through such a rough spot in your financial life. Hopefully things will turn for the best. I have done the living hand to mouth thing and it’s not a good place to be. Just because your lost your interest in collecting, don’t make that stop you from popping in here from time to time :).
I know it’s sacrilege to say it here, but there is more to life to Windstones. Honestly, I have found a decline interest in acquiring them over the past year. I have come to the personal conclusion that Windstone collecting is best left to those who have a lot of extra money… something of which I do not have. Not to mention I feel a little out of my league because of my financial standing. It would be a lie if I said I wasn’t a little envious of some forums members who apparently have the ability to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on pretty sculptures…often. Mostly because if it was me I’d be spending that money on my mortgage or other bills lol. But I realize it’s okay. I don’t know the whole picture involving those individuals and because I can still appreciate the things that I have already. And besides, things are just ‘things’ ;).
          Okay..done babbling. Don’t be a stranger!

This color is not flattering on anything except the orientals and even then, I’m not a huge fan. I’d way prefer white, like the original white dragons on the orientals.

LOL – I’ll keep my tomatoes for my salad…
If I had a choice between an Ivory or White for these guys, I’d have to agree with dragOn. I’d love to see all the Oriental dragons done in the classic white. I think the charm for Ivory is that it LOOKS like the real thing.

Oooo! I think the coiled mommas would look lovely to, come to think of it. Their details are relatively simple to :).

I agree. I for one would love to see all of the Orientals done in this scheme. It seems to suit this particular sculpt so nicely.

Dunno if I’d ever be brave enough to put my Windstones under running water. I use a damp cloth to get the bulk of the dust. Then, for the tight spots and crevices, a damp paint brush. The brush is of the stiffer variety, but not to much so. Works well for me .
