I got my swap today! And when I opened the box I was in LOVE! My request was for a kitsune in cherry wood brown, cream, green and gold. I received a beautiful little cherry wood kitsune wreathed in soft greenery and cream blossoms, dotted in gold. I’ve decided to give her the nickname of ‘Nymph’.

Thank you so much siberakh1! She’s absolutely gorgeous and thank you for putting so much thought and detail into her. I couldn’t wait to share her, so I have to apologize for the bleh quality indoor photos (I will try to get better photos soon, but in the meantime please upload some better pictures if you have them). Mine don’t do her any justice. She reminds me of those old English fairy paintings. I can easily see her frolicking with the fairies and causing mischief with them. 🙂
I used dA to host the image, but made sure to give you absolute credit for her. I also pointed the way to your PYO forum thread in her description.
I appreciate the card and sharing your thoughts about painting her. It’s a wonderful touch and always interesting to know what the artist considered while working. 🙂 Also, maybe I’m a bit weird for noticing…but it’s something that catches my attention. If the packaging was any indication, I’m totally jealous of how GOOD your home smells!

Hannah, I have to say that that little griffity is an awesome job as always (Very creamy looking, I have no other way to describe the smooth color blending you manage!). He’s so cute! Really nice color scheme you got to work with too.
Amstaff, nice line work on your detailing. SO clean and even looking! I have to ask what tool did you use besides really steady hands!?
Ghostndragon, I like the keeper you did. The second I saw him, he reminded me of a dark stone just taken from a rock tumbler but just before it’s rinsed off. Really neat effect. He really sparked some fond memories of my dad and I tumbling stones.
Dragonmedley, your serval kitsune is adorable. His colors just look so happy. I like how you continued the patterning down his tails. I think MandBsMom is right, he going to cause mischief among all the pebbles. 😉

Will they like it? Is it still in one piece? No rubs? Why,oh why, haven’t they updated the tracking? I’m on pins and needles over here. I hope it’s still intact. 🙂
No big deal waiting for the one coming to me. The mail lady comes and goes and, I think, ‘maybe tomorrow’. But the other way? I do not like it. 🙂

But I think the picture is playing games with the gold. I’m not picking up the gold brushing. Isn’t that always the way when photographing these guys!?

I can actually picture you running into the room, arms in the air, screaming COUGARS! making a circle around the room and running out, yelling ‘COUGARS!’ down the hall. 😉 lol
I’d vote for Tanukis…mostly because I think they will be shiny little gems and cheaper than GB cougars. Really like the cougars and would love a fantasy batch but my wallet would not love it at the moment >.< saving up for a house this October!
Yes! Thank you for saying this! I want Tanukis next so I can save up for a cougar GB (fantasy themed would be SO awesome, but on this sculpt I could absolutely do natural too). Now if only I could for once not MISS the GB post. T_T

Usps delivers on Saturday.
You see, Canada Post doesn’t deliver on Saturdays, hence our confusion when we see a date scheduled for the weekend 🙂

I wonder if the game chip is in the base, and can be removed to share with a game owning friend? If it truly bothers you not to be using it, otherwise just enjoy!The game chip is in the base, but would probably be damaged if it were removed. Besides, if on the off chance it was resold it would ruin the resale value to not have the chip.

-laughs- Well, maybe you’ll run into someone who does have a Wii U! You can use it then if you so choose! I’ve considered buying them myself to use with my friend’s Wii U (because I certainly don’t own one). They ARE pretty cool looking. I really like the Adult Link one myself.
I just ask because it seems a shame you won’t get the full functionality of what you paid for. Congrats on not paying the scalper costs too! That drives me crazy! It stinks when other people buy something out just so they can resell it at inflated prices! Ugh! SO UNFAIR!
