          Artist Name: Prezaurian

Artist Contact Info: PM me for initial contact. You can also e-mail me at prezaurian [at] hotmail (dot) com. Put a clear topic regarding a commission in the topic line. My junk mail filter is very strict so it’s more reliable to PM me through the forum initially.

          Commission acceptance status: Open

          PYO Painting Rates:
Rates vary according to complexity of the paint scheme. I offer a small discount if it’s my first time painting a particular sculpt ($15 discount). I do not offer sculpting.

*I will not paint the Muse for commission. This is just personal preference.
**This sculpt is not available yet. So I have no pricing information at this time.
***Pricing is unique for this sculpt. Because its surface is super smooth, it allows for complex images to be painted on it. The higher commission price range is for more complex images.

Type of paint/materials used: Acrylics, Interference, color change/magic, Pearl-Ex Powders, standard synthetic brushes and toothpicks. I use brush on sealers that are UV resistant.

Brand of paint used: Galleria, Liquitex, Golden, Spaz-Stix (on request), color shift powder pigments and a small number of miscellaneous acrylics (Americana, etc).

Are pet portraits offered?: No. I view pet portraits as a potentially delicate topic and would end up being over obsessive with accurate detail.

Do you do duplicates of other’s commissions/paint schemes?: No. If you commission me, I will not duplicate your idea/paint scheme for someone else later on. I will not duplicate other artist’s paint schemes either. I will duplicate my OWN previously existing paint schemes. i.e. I would duplicate paint schemes like ‘Nebula’ or ‘Forests of the Night’ because they’re mine.

Do you do production piece repaints on commission?: No. I only do repaints for myself. However, I am willing to duplicate any of my repaint’s paint schemes on PYO pieces.

Shipping method: Double-boxed. Bubble wrap & peanuts. In the packaging I get the sculpt in.

Shipping rates/insurance: Tracking & insurance required. I use USPS or UPS and ship from the zipcode of 30809 (or 30907 for UPS). I will charge a flat rate of $21/item. If I do not use all the s/h money for shipping costs I will refund the difference. I had to raise the amount because shipping costs have gone up.

          Ships to: US & Canada

Artist location: Georgia (the state, not the country)

Other comments: I work with the eyes/gem stones that are provided by Windstone Editions unless it’s something I painted outside of a commission. If you want other eyes/gem stones, you will have to cover the additional costs. I usually enjoy painting what I want as a hobby so I accept commissions for the unique challenge and spare money. My painting speed varies depending upon my work/life schedule and complexity of the paint scheme. I will give a rough estimate of completion time when you contact me and describe what it is you want.

Payment Methods & “Terms of Service”: I accept Paypal. When you pay me, please use the ‘paying for goods/services’ option. I accept payment for commissions in installments if you want, just let me know you want to do that when you first contact me. Payments must be completed within a reasonable amount of time that we can settle on after your initial contact.

On all commissions there must be a non-refundable down payment. This down payment is sending me the sculpture you want painted or the cost of the sculpture + s/h. I always subtract the down payment from the total cost of the commission. So if you send me a sculpt straight from Windstone, I will subtract the amount on the invoice from the cost of the commission. If I will be ordering the sculpt, please let me know what color eyes/gems you want so I can get the correct ones! I don’t have spares!

I will send progress pictures to you via e-mail if you wish. Initially, these might look messy. I promise it’s not a disaster (so please don’t panic). It’s just the nature of how I paint with washes. If something happens, I will let you know and we can proceed from there. Also, if I finish ahead of schedule on a large commission I will patiently wait until the planned end of the installment payments. So don’t worry about that. The lines of communication are always open. If I don’t respond promptly (within a week) to e-mail, please PM me through the forum. If I still don’t reply, something has happened to me. Never hesitate to contact me with concerns.

Once full payment has been completed, I will ship the item/items and provide you with tracking information.

If you change your mind on a commission, I reserve the right to keep or sell it to cover costs. My finances can’t afford mistakes or changes of heart. Also note, any payment you send OUTSIDE of the down payment will be refunded if you choose to cancel a commission. I will also give a refund if the unthinkable happens and the sculpt breaks during shipping (but you must provide proof via photo). I will give a partial refund if the unthinkable happens and paint damage occurs during shipping (again please provide photo proof). Remember, the down payment is non-refundable.

I will not accept trades as a form of payment for commission. Trades are TRADES, not commissions and I will treat them similarly to the PYO Swaps (you get some small input but the result is mostly a surprise). With a commission, you’re paying me to paint you something specific (I don’t get as much free reign so it’s more expensive). For a trade, it’s more fun as mostly a surprise and because I have more free reign it’s cheaper.

So YOU got the blue one! And the griffity! -laughs- I must say they are both lovely acquisitions. Thank you for posting such nice clear photos of them. I was really hoping to see more detailed shots of the blue hippocampus. Congrats on both pieces and thanks for posting pics!

Said it on FB, but it bears repeating. Lovely job on the hippocampii (sp?)! The shading on both are wonderful. 🙂 My favorite though is the griffity. I still really like the touches of brown you’ve put in.

I can testify that prezaurian did a wonderful job painting “T’Dai #2”. 🙂

XD I’m super happy you like how she turned out! Thank you for commissioning her!

                  Hey P!
T’Dal Paint #2 is really cool! She looks like a Tie Die project. Nice colors! 😀
The Bronze base coloring looks Great too!

😀 Thanks so much! She was a lot of fun to do. I think she turned out better than the first T’Dal Paint! Metallic colors are just really nice to work with and I was really happy with how the edges of the tie dye patches turned out (and also how the tie dye itself turned out).

Beautiful work on that Emperor. Just as amazing as I imagined!

And thanks so much for the eBay cart pictures! The orientals are faboo. But my eyes keep gravitating to that little fledgling/baby dragon with the golden face. Reminds me of a metallic version of a love bird’s coloration. So cute!

Also, lovely application of bronze coloration on the equines.

Thank you rock-reader for your support. At the same time that Gina and I are painting regular production pieces we are squeezing in as much time as possible for EBay pieces! We are both so thankful to get to paint EBay pieces. For me it’s like a rush painting on Melody’s wonderful art pieces. It is like bringing a piece to life. Also, we have Norma who paints wonderful eye colors for ebay pieces and of course Pam who photographs the pieces perfectly. That is a gift. Our goal is always to please everyone who is out there. Thank you.

I want to second rock-reader’s statement! Also, complements to Norma (the eye colors I’ve seen have always been lovely, but I had no idea to whom credit belonged). Eyes are the windows to the soul so they’re a very important part to any sculpture! And the photography has always shown off the pieces nicely. So many complements on it too. 🙂

Every single Windstone piece is fascinating because they’re the result of multiple artists giving just a bit of love and then passing them on to the next artist to build on. So cool!

And that rush you’re talking about LaurieLee? 😀 I feel it too when I paint the PYOs. It’s just great! Watching the piece come together and then popping the eyes in at the very end…and suddenly, wow…it’s alive and breathing. And you know you contributed to get it to that point. It’s just a really, really nice feeling.

The dragon and kirin turned out lovely. I especially like the warm and earthy colors of the kirin paired with the gold. Very nice!

I really like the blue coloration on the one in the middle.

😀 Thanks so much! I’m going to be getting a clockwork dragon figure next. Hoping to try and make a diorama that looks steampunk.

Logged in, ordered a male and female sushi cat, checked the cart to make sure they didn’t dive out for cover and checked out. Everything seemed to go smoothly with my transaction.

Edit: Did a double check of the cart after everything went through. Got receipts from Windstone and Paypal. But the two sushi cats are still showing in my cart. There is a timer counting down. Also, I use Firefox as my browser. -scratches cheek- I’m wondering if I should remove the two in the cart? Or should I leave them there and just check back after their timer expires?

Update: Logged back into the store this morning and the two sushi cats who had stayed in the cart after purchase were kicked out when time expired. The order seems to have still gone through. Paypal shows the funds were transferred at least and my order history says the order is processing. All of this was with Firefox.
